I got the 70" model for $300 last year. It's been a great TV so far.

Use Costco Visa if you have it, it adds 2 years to the warranty.

Not surprised to see prices up a bit this year but for reference, I picked up a semi-comparable 65in TCL last year at Target for $229.

Does it ship? This ain't gonna fit in the back of my Volt or Prius.
It will fit if your prius is a gen 2 I think. Source: I fit 65 inch lg oled tv (out of the box though as it was open box) in my gen 2. and for a 299 TV I don't see why not ditch the box.

Are frameless tv's a short term gimmick and will fade away just like curved screen, 3d tv's etc?

Could someone please advise if there will be any entry level 75 inch TV deals for less than $1000 on Black Friday or in Nov/Dec?

Looking to upgrade to a larger size and wondering if it is better to wait till BF.

Probably. It's a bit early to say. Usually first week of November is when we start to know these things
