Picked up this morning. Still in box sitting in garage. Gonna wait to open for a couple weeks in case any better deals come along.
A 55" yes, I misread the size of this so that's my fault!
The TV is picking up phantom button presses, as if someone was constantly pressing up on a remote controller.
I tried hard resetting the TV, removing all inputs from the tv, removing the batteries from the remote, leaving it unplugged for an hour but still no luck.
This TV is going back to Target, what a waste of time.
Zero complaints here, great sharp picture with a few minor adjustments

For $300, not a bad deal - got my first one unboxed and mounted in the master bedroom; a few things to note, however:
1.) So according to specs, this is a DLED - or Direct LED or further Direct Light Emitting Diode(s), however, I can notice as if it was edge lit and bleeding occuring all around the edges as they "bleed" into the screen. It's most noticeable at the top two corners of the TV and worst at the top right corner - you can almost see white lights - adjusting the brightness, backlight, color temp, and picture more do not seem to help. In bright scenes it is not as noticeable, just barely if you're looking for it - in dark scenes definitely noticeable.
2.) The image is pretty good for $300; the TV although smaller than my 85" 4K Budget Hisense is not as sharp, but honestly this is on a gauged on a level that won't be noticed by an untrained eye - it still looks great.
3.) There doesn't seem to be any motion enhancement options- i.e. you won't get the soap opera effect since you can't go from native 60hz to emulated 120hz with frame injection. I don't care for motion enhancements for my uses, so this is good for me.
4.) Doing a side by side of my Hisense 85", there seems to be more jitter on camera pans - noticeable from viewing same videos of drone footage - again all motion enhancements on the 85" Hisense disabled and the TV at question not having any available. It doesn't seem as smooth as it can be even at 60hz - daily viewing TV shows and YouTube streams, I won't care - action scenes when sitting and watching a movie with popcorn I'd imagine it would bother me somewhat since I'd like to think I have a trained eye. In a previous comment someone noted the response rate was not up to par for gaming, I can definitely see this being an issue from this bulletpoint. This is where partial motion enhancements may help and correct, however, remember, I am not using any motion enhancements on my 85" Hisense and it seems to be better.
5.) The YouTube App isn't as smooth as it is on my Google Enabled 85" Hisense. Slight delay when trying to move fast across the keyboard. May quite possibly be that the YouTube app is more native on the Google Enabled device versus this Roku device. Not a deal breaker.
6.) The TV doesn't have the greatest viewing angles, also not the worst, but how often are we not sitting directly in front of the TV - I am most times, it's in the bedroom, so this isn't an issue.
7.) It is bright enough - you need to set the backlight all the way up to achieve this - not brightness, increasing brightness too much may dull the colors, just play around with it but start with the backlight all the way up if you're having brightness issues and to from there. I can see some people may complain about not being able to see it as vividly as an OLED with all 17 of their windows facing the west in their living room open at 10AM. Again, it's in my bedroom and the other two are going in guest rooms, no issue there. As I am writing this the room is lit up and it is night time, no issues.
8.) Finally, sound isn't as bad as I've had, play your favorite video, click on the * (asterisk) on the remote, go to sound settings, go to sound mode, and select big bass - that's the mode I like. Of course since I'm an audio head I'll probably eventually get a full 7.2 surround sound in the master bedroom as well (partial joke for you audiophiles - it's just what we do - SURROUND SOUND or high fidelity 2.0 EVERYWHERE).
Keep in mind, this is a $300 65" vs a $1000 85" - in both cases not looking to break the bank within the different realms of each sizes I was shopping for while filling totally different spaces.
I will unbox the other two TVs and see if mainly the color bleeding exists especially at the top corners.
I have owned Samsungs, LGs, Sony's, TCLs, and Hisenses, this is my first time purchasing Elements. Guess what the biggest let down was? Samsung. I too have experienced what many of you have. My first TV was a $3500 42" Samsung 720p Plasma in 2007 that died and you could see it dying while it was going out the last 2 years i held on to it. I have had TCLs last longer and am proud to experiment with "budget" brands.
I will report back to you about the bleeding on the other TVs. If I do find the 1st one to be defective after opening the next two, I will indeed refund or have them try to replace the 1st one. Honestly though I may just keep it, it's not "that" bad. Thank you for your time guys. If you have any questions, please let me know and I will do my best to address them.
TLDR; Great purchase for $300 bedroom TVs, possibly living room TVs, for streaming video, daily TV viewing. Not the best if you're looking to game or gonna be a snob about action scenes or fast panning. Overall "I" am happy with the purchases and will be keeping them.

I've played Halo 5 guardians on a Xbox one x all day and didn't notice any input lag. It shifted into game mode automatically as well. The picture was very pleasing with the one x. No it's not as good as my TCL but it a nice upgrade over the 55 inch it replaced.
The built in Roku also saves me a HDMI port and is easily my favorite tv interface. The sound is slightly better then what I would expect of a 300$ tv. Nowhere near the quality coming from my TCL and it's Atmos speakers but I don't expect that out of a tv this price.
I also enjoy the physical appearance of the styling of the TV. It was very easy to set up alone, and am very happy with this BF TV. Just DON'T expect a the same out of it that you do for a 1k$ tv. However the value is definitely there and offers a decent PQ at a really nice price .

Update: Went to pick the 55" TCL TV from Walmart. Much better input lag, I wish TCL have a 65" version on sale. Much prefer the TCL for gaming over the Element.
