The 3 year Allstate warranty on product page should cost $49 when the price drops to 299.99, so may be worth adding for piece of mind.

Thank you much for your valuable input. It helps us all in comparisons and lets us know more what-if the tv has the primary, secondary things that we are looking for (and for overall reasons).
I am glad communities like this and others are here; When others leave their feedback..it helps us pick other tvs and items that better suit us / and or make more informed decisions.

I almost bought the Element but am going to hold back and maybe buy something else for the living room. (I would have regretted buying the Element over the low input lag-- glad I saw your post. Now I definitely won't buy it,)

I also realize 120hz refresh is running more like $450 for a hot deal at 50 to 55" right now, I will keep my eyes open until the last BF deals. Thanks, jinmc

Edit: Btw what did the rtings review say about the 65" Element? I didn't plag the proper model name in the search so I didn't get the correct result when trying to see the tech review.
I mainly used the Amazon TV element as reference on rting here's a link to the comparsion https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/tcl-4-series-2020-vs-element-amazon-fire-tv/15789/480?usage=... [rtings.com] . That being stated, each panel can differ and tcl 4 series 2020 might not even represent the actual TCL 55" or amazon fire tv representing the 65". If you scroll down to the input lag section, you can see the element TV being far higher: 1080p@60hz Game Mode - TCL: 29.0ms and Element 69.3ms, they didn't have a 4k mode comparison. FYI, I used a GTX 1060 hdmi 2.0 to both TV running 4k 60hz during the game testing in game mode. Hope that helps.

From a build quality and TV picture, that will not be using it for gaming, aside from size, which TV would you prefer?
Strictly watching TV definitely the 65" but mainly due it's sheer size. An additional 10" makes a huge difference - wink wink. Picture quality, I'm not an expert to say but just watching the 4k https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXb3EKWsInQ and running overwatch/super mario party [via emulation] in 4k looks great on both. That should be expected result since they're both LED panels.

The one knock on TCL build quality decision i have is there's only 1 button on the TV and it's center bottom. It's just a power button so without a remote you're SOL for any changing setting. Of course you can always download the app on the phone but if you a brought brand new TCL 55", without remote, and you haven't setup wifi then your SoL until you get a remote. The element has single button on the right side with directional input that at least gives you access to volume and input.

fun fact: any roku remote works on these TV i.e. element roku remote works on TCL and TCL works on element. even my roku remote from my 40" TCL works on both.

My family might end up keeping them both to replace our 40" TCL and 32" Seiki screens. If any retailer puts a TCL 65" model on a sale again i would hop on that. Ticks both size and input lag issue.

Found this review of it. Not too bad at all. Happy to have gotten it and not had my order cancelled. Going from a 40 inch to this 65.

That's not even a review, anyone can write that by looking at the specification box.

Is there anyway to add the TV warranty to my order if it is ready for P/U at my local store?

Anyone have the box dimensions? I'm hoping that it will fit in my vehicle.

I will report back to you about the bleeding on the other TVs. If I do find the 1st one to be defective after opening the next two, I will indeed refund or have them try to replace the 1st one. Honestly though I may just keep it, it's not "that" bad. Thank you for your time guys. If you have any questions, please let me know and I will do my best to address them.
Looking forward to that. Mine had similar bleeding and wasn't sure if it was normal or not; I haven't bought a new TV since 2013.

Yes, I can confirm... HDMI1 is dedicated to ARC
What is ARC? How do you use it?

Sorry if this is a stupid question. I don't know anything about TV.

It's the "Audio Return Channel" and I use it for my external soundbar. Sound then comes out of the soundbar rather than the TV (assuming the TV settings are correct). When I change the volume on the TV remote, the soundbar volume changes too. When I turn on/off the TV, the soundbar does the same.

This is a good read:

What is HDMI ARC?

The often-overlooked ARC stands for "Audio Return Channel," and ever since the HDMI 1.4 standard was introduced, ARC has been available on TVs, soundbars and receivers. This protocol offers two-way communication between devices over a single HDMI connection. Essentially, the HDMI ARC port lets you use HDMI as both an input and an audio output.

Since ARC was introduced in 2009, it has become a very common standard, and you'll find it on virtually all TVs, soundbars and receivers sold in recent years. Anything that works with the HDMI 1.4 standard should support ARC, but check the documentation for your specific devices to be sure.

I was able to get one this morning, brought it home and opened it and there was a huge indentation on the top middle portion. The screen was cracked on the top half and I'm in the process of returning it. Of course, none in stock now to replace... just my luck. 😡
The same thing happened to me, mine's cracked. Did you return?

Update: yes! I was able to exchange for a new one! they had 1 more in stock due to someone cancelling the order.

I just had better luck today or something because Target employees were loading another customer with the same TV and utilized the same cart to haul my broken tv back to do the exchange.
