I'm a Zenni convert for sure. My teen daughter has switched to contacts, so buying an expensive pair of glasses to use maybe an hour or two a week (indoors before bed) didn't make sense. So we now have 2-3 pair of cheap glasses for her.

And my wife has a nasty habit of misplacing glasses. So we have (literally) 10 pair of glasses floating around the house/cars for her.

21 year old son has maybe 8 pair himself.

And this is all a LOT cheaper than buying just one expensive pair at Costco or wherever.

We've had two issues with our Zenni orders. One they took care of promptly and one I just got too lazy to contact them about, so I just forgot about it (since we have so many.)

All in all, I'm a fan.

Edit: because I just get the cheap included lenses most of the time these days, this sale doesn't really help me much. Typically they'll offer a BF or Cyber Monday deal of like 20% off everything. That's what I've been waiting for before I order a couple more pair.
Wake me up when it's 50% off the frames
Bought glasses here many times. Have had no issues at all.

How much was the lasik?

Zenni makes you pay for return shipping while eyebuydirect doesn't.

The quality seems generally the same for comparably priced frames imo.

I did have an issue with Zenni selling a pair of frames that were a few mm smaller than described which essentially made them children glasses. I should have read all the reviews since most of them were complaining about the same thing. I guess it was within their margin of error though.

It's more of a gamble buying frames online since it can be difficult to see their actual size. Zenni does an exceptionally terrible job of providing any sort of scale to compare their glasses to. They are all shown against a white background with absolutely no images of people wearing them. All the images are also not sized relative to each other so a pair of really small children glasses can show up bigger than adult sized. It's also not that easy to use the measurements to estimate the size since frames only have certain measurements to go by and in many cases they don't tell the whole story.

Click the option for try these on...it shows you models wearing the frame or you can upload a photo of yourself to model. 🙂

For those of us who have a very high prescription Zenni is the best option. It lets me order a standard size lens instead of having to pay a premium price for a thinner lens. I know which frames to order to hide how thick the lenses are. I'm ok with that as I wear contacts 98% of the time. I can order 6.95 glasses in different colors when I want to give my eyes a breather.

Just tried looking at eyebuydirect and no such option.

There's a thread where KITS it's offering a pair of glasses for shipping cost. Ordered a pair for my daughter for $4.95 the shape that she had been wanting.

The thing with lasik is that its either gonna be the best decision of your life... or the worst decision. Playing those odds with one's eyes is a risky game IMO. Google lasik horror stories. Best of luck with your decision.
Like 1 in 1000 end up having some sort of complication. So if those odds are too much for someone then they might want to stay away.

I got LASIK in 2001. I started noticing worsening eyesight by 2010 and I was back in glasses by 2014. They weren't so upfront about the fact that it wouldn't last forever.

If you don't mind telling me your experience with Lasik was, I'm scared to get it because I don't want them to accidentally laser me blind. Thank you
That almost never happens. 1 in 1000 people have any complications at all. It doesn't last forever, though. I had LASIK in 2001 and was back in glasses by 2014.

Has anyone bought progressive lenses with zenni or any of the others, experiences ? I feel like I need my glasses all the time now but I just started wearing progressives about three years ago. I actually just had a eye exam last week and looking to fill my new prescription.
My wife loves her Zenni progressive lenses. It took her a couple weeks to get used to them (they tell you it could take up to a month) but now she's very happy. Cost about 1/3 of what it would have cost from the Optician.

I got a pair of progressives from Zenni and I am impressed. I got the Titanium Rimless Glasses 37721, and I made sure to order a lens shape that was tall enough (optician recommended at least a 32mm lens height) to accommodate the two progressive halves.

The result is excellent.

Be sure to get your near and far pupillary distance (PD) measured by a qualified optician or optometrist before you order. You can measure it yourself with Zenni's online-based method, but for progressive lenses you might want to ask an optician for help.

Another satisfied Zenni customer here, having recently bought my first new pair of glasses in like 15 years. I paid for an eye exam at Costco and uploaded the prescription. Even with rush shipping fees, it was only like 60 bucks all-in. Have received many compliments on the frames.

Anyone have experience with this company or EyeBuyDirect?

I've bought from them maybe 4-5 times now and have been pleased. They cut my lenses wrong once but stood behind them and replaced them at no cost for lenses or return shipping etc.

EyeBuyDirect has a better return policy, 100% refund. Zenni only refunds 50%.

That feature is even more misleading than the photos on the white background. The glasses I ordered didn't even come close to fitting like the "try on" thing showed.

Good info here. I did acquire my PD when I got my exam. Although, I found it confusing as it was to high numbers 62/64. I reached out to Zenni last night to clarify and they responded that the higher number of 64 is for distance and 62 would be my near PD. And since I'm ordering progressive lenses I would use my distance PD. You only use the near PD when ordering reading glasses per zenni. I had a issue with my PD last time I ordered 🤓 . Had to send them back to be readjusted. Hopefully that won't be the case this time.

Zenni is absolutely worth it. No reason to spend a boatload for glasses and they're cheap enough that you can get multiple pairs for style or spares without issue. If they don't work out or break, you're not breaking the bank for the risk. You'll also have to be patient because these usually take a couple weeks to come in.

I've since used goggles4u more because they have more styles and usually have much better discounts. If you look hard enough, you can probably find a discount for twice as much off as this...
