These are pretty heavy.... if you dont have a specific use for an extension ladder I'd avoid this.

Little giant makes the king Kombo ladder that is an A-frame ladder that folds out into an extention ladder. It's not nearly as heavy and more useful IMO.

I have the M13 and almost never use it unless I have a 3rd person that needs a ladder or someone needs to borrow a ladder lol.

Personal experience with this product:

Got it 2 years ago as I bought my first home and felt it would suit a ton of purposes. I have 14ft ceilings inareas of my home and knew I'd need some extreme reach at times.

I'll give it 4/5 stars. It's fantastic for a ton of jobs. Versatile and stable for the most part. Exactly what you expect from it. However, two main things worth considering.

First is it's absurdly heavy and bulky for a ladder, even in it's most compact form. This is NOT the ladder you want to go grab for a smoke detector at 3am (twice!)

Second is at full extension, this thing is scary to be at the top of. I know what it's rated for, I know it's safe, but the thing wobbles..a lot. 19ft is a long extension and its aluminum, this is just gonna happen, but it's pretty terrifying if you don't like moderate heights - I do not.

So, it's a great ladder overall, but if your usage is covered with a more standard ladder - I'd go that way instead.

You can rent one, but will need a lumber rack to transport it.

FYI - The Werner ladder website says they "do not have a written warranty on their products. However, we do stand behind the quality of our products."

I have the Gorilla Ladder MPX22, same as this ladder. Love it. Good for holiday light hanging and have used it a few more times as well, but mainly in A form, not that much as an extension ladder. Nonetheless, always good to have in case needed. Bought mine for $99

Maximum reach on the longest King Combo model is 17". It may be lighter, but it's shorter, more expensive and made of fiberglass.

I had a werner ladder - the locking system was a lot more cumbersome and it was heavier than the little giant I have now.

This can get me to the bottom of my second floor windows

If it's a one time thing, you can rent a 40' extension ladder for $40 locally vs paying $600+ and having to figure out how to store it.

Heads up, these are not the ones in the ladder aisle. There is a 22' there as well, but that one is a nicer build, feels sturdier, slightly heavier (barely), but also has wheels on one side to help move. It's also full price. It does NOT stand on its own when collapsed, not that that's a considerable feature, just something I prefer.

I found these in the front of the store in the "pro" section. They don't have the aforementioned wheels. They are lighter than the other 22' ladders in the ladder aisle, and to me feel like the build quality is slightly less. Not that it's a bad ladder. The employee I asked to help me find it informed me that it was for their "special" that they're setting up tomorrow, but they're already out on the floor so you're welcome to them. So this feels like a special buy for the holidays.

Military discount did not work on this. Cashiers screen said something about the discount not applying to merchandise priced at store cost or something like that. Not sure if other discounts/coupons would work.

You probably saw the one with wheels and leg levelers.

Link won't work for me, but yeah it had some other apparatus on there. Was more just guiding people to the right areas
