It's kind of a decent deal. 64GB and 4GB RAM. The Mediatek MT8183 is slightly faster than a N4020 multi core, and slightly slower single core. So basically the same. It's a 1920x1080 touchscreen. If it had a backlit keyboard I would jump on it, but that seems to always be reserved for the top end laptops/chromebooks. Will probably wait to see what Black Friday brings.

Thanks OP, just ordered this one and will be returning the non-touch version I purchased last week. Hard to dispute touchscreen + IPS panel for $20 more!

Edit: For those wondering, I was able to get a full refund on the opened and used Chromebook I mentioned. Rep opened it back up to verify there was no damage and that the serial/model matched the box. Hope this helps.

i'm not familiar with chromebook, since i use windows laptop. can i install turbo tax on a chromebook and use the software? any alternatives to excel spreadsheets besides google docs / sheets ?

A lot of software has an online version these days. Excel is still accessible through Office365 Online (it's free) and TurboTax most likely has an online version as well.

got it. i usually buy turbo tax and it's for one user. can i use the turbo tax online version on both my windows laptop and chromebook as long as i sign into the same account ?

I do not believe Excel is free for everyone. I think only for valid edu emails.

Online web version of Microsoft Office including Excel is free for everyone. Excel online has only the basic features. It does lack advanced features like creating pivot tables etc.

Best $150 ever spent. This chromebook is amazing!!

It does lack some basic features like:
1. Not able to put it to Sleep besides closing the lid or let it sit idle for few mins (no options to change idle to sleep time either)
2. Doesn't have a built-in calendar. I had to download Google calender from app store.

Anyone use this yet and have a jerky touchpad? I contacted lenovo and they were no help. Could be because i have a macbook air that may just be smoother, but i notice some tracking issues with the mouse. Want to love this, everything else is great but the cursor issue is driving me nuts. Tried messing with the settings, and there isn't much customization but maybe some advice on settings?
