Samsung makes about 10 different 70" TVs. A few are better than this and a bunch are worse. This is a great set for the price.

Lol I'm not sure you're aware of how ironic this statement is (the Vast majority of reviewers/guides praise this model). Hisense is actually swinging for the fences with this offering to gain more market share over the likes of Samsung/Sony/lg who have all faltered in recent years for their tech offerings per price point. In other words this set is a steal for sub 1k compared to a Samsung QN90A for similar or even better performance in some areas.

Is this not a good price? Don't see many thumbs up. Mine arrived this morning and looks amazing. Just one firmware update and ready to go, no dead pixels or bleed etc. Local dimming looks good not amazing but good enough to see th difference. Brightness is super crazy

My gut feel says the price won't go lower but there may be other forms of discounts that may bring down net price. However, need it buy now want it wait few days, 2021 will be obsolete in the next 2 months.

The new TCL 6 series has a superior picture to this if you can get past the buggy OS.
Biggest issue I have is regularly wifi disconnects and a quick restart in the settings fixes it.
