For those who will wonder, there is an RTSP beta firmware for the Wyze v3 now. I have an RTSP-converted v2 and it routinely loses its wireless link (thousands of nosignal errors in Blue Iris) and I am certain the problem is not my WLAN. Luckily I got it for free so no loss. I am unsure if the v3 is any better, but buyer beware!
Do not support this trash company.
They will sell you products that are priced real low with a lot of "features" bundled. Over time they will pretty much convert the features to paid addons. Even though now i'm paying for the "AI detection" feature, every couple of minutes, I would get alert for "Person Detection" when a fly passes by or trees or even shadows from trees move. The alert feature is so useless that I end up disabling it most of the time when I leave the house. Also, their alerts have been getting very very delayed. They alerts are supposed to be instant but a lot of time they are several minutes delayed, sometimes over an hour late.
Also, they do not support monitoring or review via PC, you have to use their apps on a portable device and the app navigation is absolute garbage especially if you need to review footage.
Then the worst part of it, even if you have the best quality microSD cards in them, randomly the cams would say no card present or write unreadable data to the cards which will essentially be a big FU to you when it comes time to review some footage.
Junk company, unreliable products. Stay away. I own 10 of their trash cams and even have their subscription for added features.
Lol, you must be an owner of one of those companies that was selling simple home cameras for $200-300 each before the $30 Wyze cam came out and made y'all cut your ridiculous prices.

If you're having problems on wireless with the v2, there was a way to use a lan adapter with it via dafang hacks.
I bought a couple v3's back in May 2021 and one has been outdoors in direct sun and has held up very well. I've even dropped them on the concrete a few times and they still work perfectly. I used them for time lapse videos of plants, and also to watch for wildlife in the backyard.
I have had no problems and I also haven't paid anything beyond the original purchase price (which was also $30, and also from Amazon).

I've had a bunch of v2's working great for a long time, also a couple of their outdoor cameras (connected to the same base), and a couple of the ones with pan motor. I've got the RTSP firmware on the v2's and the pan models and had them working perfectly in Blue Iris before that PC died and took my Blue Iris settings with it. I've been living with the Wyze app since, until I get Blue Iris set back up, and it's been ok. I have SD cards in all of 'em, SanDisk Ultras, and haven't had an issue.
I don't use any of Wyze's AI features, so have no comment on those. And I also may be having an easier time of things than some because I have multiple access points so they're not all competing for the same wireless spectrum.
So my experience has been very positive. I appreciate that they make alternate firmwares available with RTSP for those of us who don't want to be tied to their app.

I realize you must have a limited understanding of the world due to some low visibility position in life or career, so I won't blame your small mindedness. I own multiple land investments throughout the state and have solar powered campers in most of them with cellular data coverage. These cams were all initially installed at those locations for keeping an eye on the lots when I'm busy with my life.
