And how do you know these information (which are mostly wrong anyway)? The first search about Crucial P5 review shows the Tom's Hardware review link and tons of comments about how it runs hot and has a lower than average performance. May be a basic Google search before posting comments will help you next time.

Literally my asus x570 tuf gaming plus will not boot with the p5 installed. Google it, common issue. P5 isn't better in every way

I mean, P5 kind of has a reputation for running hot and drawing a lot of power (not ideal for laptop battery life)
Scoring higher sequential speeds on CrystalDiskMark or whatever doesn't make the drive faster, because those speeds will almost never be relevant.

You can see here they perform pretty much identically in real world usage. A2000 even edges it out a bit overall. It only loses when doing long, intensive write workloads (again, hardly ever relevant) because of the A2000's inconsistent SLC utilization.

For my usage I have both housed in a thunderbolt 3 enclosure with thermal pads connnected to outer metal enclosure body. I always get 860+ with P5 and ~500 with A2000. And I can notice the 4k video Airdrops from my iphone taking a bit longer when I'm booted from the A2000. For temperature I haven't checked with a temp gun but I feel both are around the same ...

Both of these SSDs are budget SSD and don't worth extra money for heatsink. And I think you can see the other guys post in the top where he mentioned how he is using the SSD, inside an external thunderbolt enclosure, not inside a computer or laptop.
Both has similar real world performance and A2000 runs cooler, it will be my preference irrespective of the use case. If you want better performance, spend around 100 bucks to get something better like Sabrent Rocket, SX8200, WD SN750 etc, rather than P5+heat sink.

Thanks for the link. I need I believe a Gen3 for a 8th gen intel HP computer. So many options dropping in price now. Don't know which to buy. But 800 MB/s is SATA speeds.
