This is better than Intel for any other purpose than gaming though.

Why? The Gram series is considered one of the best laptop lines. It has a bigger screen, and twice the battery capacity (and life, up to 20 hours), yet is only .2lbs heavier. It has a better build quality and keyboard, more USB ports and Thunderbolt 3, significantly faster RAM, and an a faster IGP (which scales with the faster RAM) better wifi module, RJ45/ethernet Jack, and its not silver.
Admittedly the CPU performance is not as good, but if youre not doing highly threaded workloads and just using it for browsing, discord, microsoft office, etc youll never notice the difference anyways.
I'd 100% buy the LG Gram over the HP Aero at the $20 difference, go look at reviews, the LG gram is consistently one of the best reviewed laptop lines, HP and the Aero? not even close.

Below is the Cinebench multithread scores.
AMD Ryzen 7 5800U
8x 1.90 GHz (4.40 GHz) HT4320 (100%)
Intel Core i5-1135G7
4x 2.40 GHz (4.20 GHz) HT1868 (43%)
As for the battery life, LG gram real world battery life is 10-12 hours. This laptop has been extensively reviewed and 20 hours is a farking lie.

Another reviewer here says that the Ryzen 7 version should have only 10-20% better performance on CPU heavy tasks over the Ryzen 5 version. This is due to HP limiting power to reduce chances of over-heating.

In other words, HP is nowhere close to leveraging the power of the Ryzen 7 in this implementation. Which is a shame!
Will this be able to run two external monitors?
Update: According to the chat rep, yes.
No touch, on the top of that, no backlight keyboard? Both are a must for this price range?
For a $800 laptop these top two features are not available and its still a deal?
