Too many redundancies with 3 sets of sae and metric
It's not even deep socket and the toughsystem got cracked during shipping so like another person said before, get this for pickup so you can inspect; otherwise it's a return and a waste of time
The case isn't light, especially if you use that top tray to put more tools in it but the handle didn't seem like an issue to me. In either case, if you go the 226 route and have a HD near your home, send it to the store. These are very well known to get damaged in transit because they aren't packed well (just the box its shipped in is all). I actually had it show up at the store damaged, even after trying at my house first. At a least at the store, you can exchange it versus having to repack it for UPS to pick it up for the return or have to take it to the store.
The sockets being 6pt both SAE and metric are a nice add. I have used these a number of times to work in both my 64 mustang and my tundra pickup and the tools performed well. I've also used various pieces of this kit using the screwdriver bits and handle along with sockets for basic assembly for my miter saw stand a bunk bed and tore my pellet bbq apart and rebuilt it when it broke.
The box is tough system 1.0 and pairs well with my tough system 2.0 stack so no complaints there.
My wife did buy it without me and was a tad embarrassed because she couldn't move it out of the store or get in into her car on her own ( : it is quite heavy and more so for the right person awkwardly heavy. She is a small lady and it was just not manageable I guess. She had to open the box and move the trays independently. To get them out of her car.
I have heard there is a 196 piece set I think that might limit the amount of bits you get but I like those when I take this set with me so no big deal
I would totally recommend it especially if you have or plan on investing in the tough system ecosystem. Since the large box on its own is like $45 bucks.
If anyone is curious you can take out the 3 trays and put them in the top drawer of US General 44 tool cart. No need for any other socket organizers.
