I think this set is a better deal. It has 2 more bits than this set (1/8, 5/32 is doubled vs, only 1/8 in the other set) for $2 more and it includes a 1/2" bit that comes in handy…

That information is not correct. Black oxide is a coating or surface treatment for twist drills, not a material.

Both sets are made out of high speed steel.

This is Black Oxide and other one is Black & Gold. Black Oxide is the one tested by PF, highly recommended.

I just did this last weekend to hang some lights. I would recommend going with some masonry bits and make sure you have a hammer drill if you have any hard aggregate or concrete like material with any significant thickness. My first try used titanium coated bits without a hammer drill and it didn't go well 😂.
