It's not sold out.

Another note- I don't usually suggest HP but if you do get a good deal, only through Costco. HP from website will charge you restock fee and grind your ass to stop your return or warranty request. All that bother and risk can be avoided by buying through Costco.
I was actually referring to the $299 version with Windows 10 and manual upgrade to 11 version in the OP.

Funny, i just had the same issue yesterday with the HP laptop from Costco bought back in 2019. Thought it was only me. Is there a way to contact Costco for warranty.
I figured since the manufacturer's warranty was only a year, I was out of luck. Someone else mentioned here that if it was purchased with a Costco CC, it might have a 3 year warranty.

Looking through my email, it says it was purchased with a Costco Shop card, so I don't know if that extends the warranty or not.

Let me know what you find out.

Assuming that you paid with the Costco Visa:

1st year is manufacture, talk to HP.
2nd year is Costco concierge service at 1-866-861-0450.
Year 3+4 are covered by the Costco Visa, talk to the credit card company, number on the back of the card.

So so deal. Should be $279
Considering the Lenovo AMD deal from 2 weeks ago I'd agree unless you're dead-set on 14".

Do they ever replace the computer outright? I have a HP from three years ago that develops slight screen damage. I got the screen replaced within the first year through HP, but I'd rather not go through that process again.
Just to demonstrate why picking right the first time matters, I'll cite the ancient example of my beloved XPS M1330. A beautiful laptop, but the NVIDIA GPU (early days dedicated graphics) basically had a bug that doomed it to an early death. As the result of class action Dell extended all warranties one year. That resulted in me getting not one, but two(!) motherboard replacements. But, had they given me an alternate laptop I might still have that thing up and running today. Instead, the final failure for that laptop doomed it to the e-waste pile.

Unfortunately, this remains very much how warranties are managed today. As such, if you can opt for a platform which is ubiquitous and/or serviceable do so when you can. The laptop space is trickier for this, but that's also why I tend to favor off-lease/enterprise models over some cheap retail options specifically because they're often engineered for field service and have a wider source for parts than their retail brethren. Just in the last few years I specifically bought an old enterprise laptop, swapped out a comically noisy fan, and got my brother-in-law the deal of a lifetime in the process.

Good luck!
Jon

$380 is ice cold. Glad I ordered two of the identical $300 version before it went OOS.

I can find no difference at all between these two. Do not know the member price. So the price may be different.

Both have 1 8GB stick of DDR4-2666.
According to the HP product specs, the Win 11 machine (model 14-dq2053cl) is 8 GB DDR4-3200 MHz RAM (1 x 8 GB).

Better than target $330 deal?
It's exactly the same, specs wise. The only difference is the smaller screen and no number pad (due to the smaller size).

It was $299 in 2019 Christmas time (with 10th gen processor). I got 2 at that time - and it actually came with i5 processor 4 core-8thread… that was an amazing deal
