Stupid question - would this work for a foldable workout bench at home? I'd like to start hip thrusts but have little space. How are the edges of the platform?

I was thinking of padding the edges, but the legs folded up look like a tight fit. Any thoughts?

I am a 6'3" 280lb guy. This bench has worked flawlessly for me. Actually held me and my wife for about 10 minutes when I needed her hands while working on my truck. Felt no instability.

Any idea if it's sturdy when pushing from one edge? The light ones tend to topple over if I use one edge for the hip thrust.

As others have noted, these were about $11-12 cheaper last year. This seems to be the case for the HD deals this year. Has anyone seen an actual ad/flyer for BF at HD yet? All I've seen is their website section but it's disorganized (in my humble opinion).
