After getting these for $20 consistently before the pandemic I just can't bring myself to pay double.

Nobody likes paying more, but if you need it you need it. We're coming up on 5 years since the pandemic began now... hard to use that as a reliable price reference. Definitely agree that it doesn't feel great though.

That means you don't need it. If you needed it, you'd pay. Unfortunately, things aren't going back to pre-pandemic pricing.

I get things costing more since pandemic start. Just not accepting 100%more. Places that can get away with it though sure. That and allot of newer folks on sd that never really knew about sd when it was truly slick deals.

Yes it was posted a few weeks back because I went and bought 2 of them at that time. Didn't really need them but frankly I thought $40 for these was still a good price.

Honestly it's surprising to me these were $20 because I honestly think they're quality built and I would expect these to be priced at minimum $30-$40 for what they are.

Now I wouldn't pay $80 or whatever but $40? If you've got some extra money and think you could use them here and there then I'd say go for it, get a least one.

I actually just used my 2 not 3-4 hours ago cutting and putting some OSB boards up in my storage shed.

I paid less for everything years ago, I have two of these and think $40 is a great price today.

THESE were not $20 pre-pandemic. It was the lower quality 250-lbs Werner platforms that occasionally went that cheap.

The Gorilla was $24 in 2020 and $20 in 2017. Long time ago though. I bought the cheaper Werner and later upgraded to the Gorilla.

The $20 platform that was a black Friday door-buster (do they even do that anymore?) was only rated at 250 ft-lbs. Not the same item.

Except for highly ymmv clearance deals, $24 from four years ago is the cheapest this model has been.

I've been wanting one for awhile. I have a deck staining project coming up and this beats walking up and down a step stool every 3 feet. $40 is nearly half of what it's been lately. That and when polishing SUVs it's nice to have a platform.
