Not to take away from this awesome deal, but no backlit keyboard is a deal breaker for me. Lots of people don't care about that, but they'll complain about lack of Thunderbolt or USB-C charging… I don't care about the last two, but to each their own.
EDIT: Walmart reviews say no USB-C charging, but OP says theirs does.
Find me a laptop with a 5900h for $450 and I will gladly buy it.
The 1135g7 is a beast for this price point, with 16GB ram and a 512GB SSD with USB-C charging. Similarly spec'd laptops are typically $600+, including comparable Ryzen laptops
I downloaded Intel driver support assistant and it's keeping me up to date. I don't expect gateway will be releasing driver updates.
Edit: I also backed up all of the original drivers to the cloud, in the event something goes wrong I can reinstall.

It has USB-C charging! That's the first thing I tried out of the box. I don't need the backlit keyboard because the lights are always on for streaming, but I know that is a deal breaker for some.

I was going off of a review! Good to hear! I'd add it to you description.
Hmm a review on the Walmart website said Gateway no longer supports this model and the drivers are old. Wonder how true that is? I didn't even realize computers were still made under the Gateway branding, thought it died out. Trying to find a speedy laptop for my Aunt for just basic documents/web surfing.

Unless you like being tech support pay a little more for something that has support (dell, Lenovo)

Does it support video through USB C? There is conflicting information on the product page.

Yes there is a USB C to HDMI adapter you could get. I believe some monitors have USB C ports too.
Yeah I figured... Sorry I can't help with that. I wish there was another way to find out.
Edit: A review on the Gateway USA website states "I bought one and to my surprise the USB type-c port works to charge the laptop and supports HDMI video without any problem"

I was wondering what the catch was for what seemed like an incredible deal, and then I saw that it had no backlit keyboard. Dealbreaker for me. After my last 2 laptops lacked it, I swore my next one would have it. You can always turn it off when it's not needed. Is there a somewhat more expensive version that has it?

First time I've heard 1135g7 called a beast. What would you call a Ryzen 9 5900h?
