It has two USB c ports. The thunderbolt 4 ports it lists, are USB C ports.

Everything in this form factor throttles under intense workloads, this is a thin and light 2.5lb laptop not even an inch thick... These types of laptops are meant for highly mobile general use, not video editing or blender or whatever. Point me to an AMD laptop in this form factor and i'll show you reviews saying it also throttles, its just the nature of the thin and light form factor.

No USB-C? That is lame. My 3-year old 13.3" XPS has USB-C

Is this a newer i5 processor? It's usually the 1135 that I see, especially on Lenovo and HP.

Yes, they are new Intel SKUs.

I like so much about this laptop, but, unfortunately, the CPU performance is horrendous. The CPU can barely run at full speed, and it thermal throttles easily forcing it to use low wattage output.

Unless you need something for light workloads, it's probably best to find something with better performance.

I'm looking at AMD Ryzen 5 or 7 laptops only now. They offer much better thermals and multithreaded performance. If only this one came as a Ryzen 5!

Yep. Not so long ago I would only look at Intel laptops but now it is almost to the point where I will only look at AMD laptops

It's 11320h vs the 11300h that Inspiron originally came out with. The 11320h is more efficient than the 11300h. Therefore the Intel Evo Platform rating. But the 1135G7 is still 20% more efficient overall.

I don't doubt that AMD also throttles, but most of the Ryzen chips are 70-80% more powerful than their Intel counterparts in multithreaded workloads, at least for now.

While I'm excited about Intel 12th gen CPUs, the desktop ones need a ton of cooling. It will be interesting to see how their mobile versions perform.

But, for me, I don't need extreme portability. I'm going to stick with fatter laptops. 😁

Have the previous Gen. Good laptop with a few short comings, mainly bad battery life. Trackpad died right after warranty but easy to replace with a cheap part from eBay.

Anyone knows if it can be upgraded to Widows 11 Pro?
