Better and more timely update policy than most others
Reasonably modern (10, 11) Android version

Near-stock Android experience

The Moto g4 Play was a cheap phone when it released in 2016, so buying it in 2019 just seems incredibly stupid on your part, no offense. The Moto G Play (2021) has pretty good reviews if you took 2 seconds to research

I bought the AT&T version from Target for 49.99. Using it with a Red Pocket/GSMA sim. Phone itself is very slippery, slides off everything, hard to grip. Ordered a case from eBay so, hopefully, it will help. Camera/gallery is glitchy. Other random erratic behaviour. Turned off auto system update so still on Android 10.

From what I've read all reviewers, those who like the phone and those who don't, agree that the camera on the Play is awful. That's make it a no go for anything other than being an extra home phone or a backup.

Thanks, that's not worth the trouble for a backup phone. I will just buy some old phone off Swappa or something and call it a day.
