It was clearance, but still…
It was clearance, but still…
The one that your talking about on Amazon [amazon.com] doesnt have the 2x M18 RedLithium XC 5.0Ah batteries
You do know though that when Home Depot puts stuff on clearance after it sells out all their stock that they dont re-stock it anymore after that right? why would it still be up for sale on their website if it went on clearance on Home Depot?
 Oh well I wasnt sure if it was a good deal or not since they usually have "hackable" deals for tools so I posted it to let the SD'ers decide, I usually see this combo set for $400 on Home Depot's email ads. Usually in those "hackable" deals it involves returning the batteries but if you dont already have M18 batteries then your left with a tool without batteries.
However, things go on clearance, even when it's the current model, and they aren't replacing that model. Sometimes, it is a particular kit that didn't sell well, so they are axing it. It still had the latest fuel impact driver.
This kit is still too expensive for what you get, and there have been better deals. They aren't deals right now, but they will come back around.

Just look at the main picture.. same as Northern with each tool on a 5.0.
Or maybe all the ryobi reps all got jobs as Amazon reps 😆 #Busted

OP is not a good deal at all. Kit is routinely $399 with a free tool at depot.

Anyways, in this thread, I already linked a better free tool option for this kit. That, in fact, is how you show that OP isn't a good deal.
