This is confusing. So I can trade-in a Nexus 7 tablet and get the $350 credit applied?

Edit: Prepare for tears, y'all. This is going to be a mess.

Friendly advice: If you're interested in any of these tablets…just go buy them outright without the hoops & games. Samsung either has so much customer volume that they don't care about the complaints or they just flat-out don't care about their individual customers. Based on the many deals prior this year: a small percentage may score this, but there are a lot of variables working against you (1.They Cancel your initial order / 2. cancel your trade-in from a litany of arbitrary reasons and bill you the $350 TIV / 3. make you wait over the tight 2-week return window to verify/appraise your trade-in…just to name a few) and their call centres are HORRENDOUSLY DIFFICULT and time-intensive to deal with when there are issues. People have even had their money in limbo for weeks to months (without using CC chargeback) in hopes of getting their orders fulfilled amidst weeks of shipping delay after delay after delay…

Note: they mention they can even remotely disable your device (!!!) if they feel you haven't kept up your end of the deal with a proper trade-in.

Is it really half the battle if they can just remotely disable it/charge you full price anyway if they determine the trade-in isn't valid? My order was confirmed but not ready for pickup yet and I'm considering cancelling it very strongly based on everything I've read here since Samsung apparently just tells the consumer to get farked for any number of reasons

I guess I'm just planning to pick it up and see what happens to other people in similar situations. I'm in no hurry for this tablet, so I can leave it in the box for a week or so until there is more clarity in Samsung's response.

Yeah, based on everything I have read here, Samsung customer service is hilariously bad. Having to spend hours and hours to rectify a fark up is just not worth the hassle. After seeing the craziness that unfolded in the last S7 thread, I dread having to deal with their customer service. Also have my order in process for store pickup. Will be canceling it tomorrow.

Do you know if they let you return store pickup order to the same store? Since the store pickup orders won't come with a shipping box, having to pack it up and return it may be a hassle.
