This is confusing. So I can trade-in a Nexus 7 tablet and get the $350 credit applied?

Edit: Prepare for tears, y'all. This is going to be a mess.

Friendly advice: If you're interested in any of these tablets…just go buy them outright without the hoops & games. Samsung either has so much customer volume that they don't care about the complaints or they just flat-out don't care about their individual customers. Based on the many deals prior this year: a small percentage may score this, but there are a lot of variables working against you (1.They Cancel your initial order / 2. cancel your trade-in from a litany of arbitrary reasons and bill you the $350 TIV / 3. make you wait over the tight 2-week return window to verify/appraise your trade-in…just to name a few) and their call centres are HORRENDOUSLY DIFFICULT and time-intensive to deal with when there are issues. People have even had their money in limbo for weeks to months (without using CC chargeback) in hopes of getting their orders fulfilled amidst weeks of shipping delay after delay after delay…

Note: they mention they can even remotely disable your device (!!!) if they feel you haven't kept up your end of the deal with a proper trade-in.

Yeah, I tried to phrase my questions in such a way as to imply that I was relying on their response to make my decision. Not that far from the truth, but wording may matter when fighting for this in the future.

Still not entirely decided on whether to ship my trade-in or to just return and cancel. I'm gonna give it a day or two.

This is wrong. You cannot turn in your old device at BB. It must be sent in via a Fedex label that Samsung will email to you.

Thinkpad 8? I remember got it from microsoft for 99 something then used it a little bit but didn't like it.

I selected as google. Not sure if the trade in will go through or not. Mine was a 2012 model and it clearly says Asus on the back.
