Hate to ask questions that probably are answered in the thread but how do you arrange a pick up at best buy? (Went through about 20 pages on my phone and couldn't find info).
You had to select the option when you placed the order.

When you're selecting your configuration of choice, towards the bottom where the "continue" or "add to cart" button appears, you see a shipping or in store pickup option. The in store pickup option is no longer possible and is appropriately greyed out. Knowledge for next time!

Doesn't prove anything though. Not they would, but they could argue that you didn't package it properly and whatever reason it's not working is because of that.
Ok? I can't personally take the dang thing to TN and supervise them?

If it were me, I'd return one of the tablets. Just seems like too much risk.
I was thinking about doing that yes.

I'm just saying, at the end of the day the system kind of sucks because it's Samsung and their millions of dollars and legal team versus one guy. But personally I've never had issues with their trade-ins. I got the A71 5G from them last year and it was a super smooth process.

My S7+ is getting delivered today, and Samsung generated the label for Trade-in.

So I am trading in an old Iphone7. It has a tempered-glass screen protector on? Is it recommended that I remove the screen protector before sending the device? Also do I need to send the charging adapter as well?

Yeah I get it, I've been burned on this kind of stuff before. Just keeping the new stuff unopened and will return to BB if we all end up getting fleeced. But I'll sure as hell pretend like I opened it if they give me trouble initially. Or rather my kid opened it up for his birthday and now I'll have to take it away Smilie

My order is at local FedEx as of early am, but status is now "not due for delivery" becuase it's a day early.

I was part of the September debacle. By this point in that order, my shipped order was already canceled and then FedEx took it back. So far so good on this one.

Tempting, isn't it? Funny thing is that the address on the trade-in label is literally just down the street from my company's HQ. Unfortunately I'm in California or I might just give it a try.

Edit: Just for kicks, I googled the address. The trade-ins are going to Prologis, which is a contract logistics company. No one from Samsung will ever see your device, so interpret that however you like.

For me, it seems like as long as the tablet is in good shape and generally matches the paperwork, the (probably) minimum-wage staff there are just going to approve it. It would be way too much trouble for Samsung to train them to spot tablets that are too old/low-end/etc and disqualify the trade-in. Not worth the headache and the support issues when people call in to complain about it.

Hey guys I selected Samsung tab A 8 for trade in not realizing it says "Samsung tab A 8 (new)" meaning the latest 2019 version but realized mine is actually the old old 2015 or something version. Do you think this will be a problem? Any way of them to change the trade in, I also have an LG tablet I can trade in
I picked up my 2 Tab S7s from this deal. One trade-in I used a Pixel 3 and the other a Lenovo tablet. I got an email for each order to ship the trade-in item. The Pixel 3 order trade-in printout specifically lists the item as "Pixel 3", while the Lenovo table lists the item as "Tablet". Between that and it looks like they were taking pretty much any tablet, my best guess is that you *should* be OK unless they check the actual system on what you said you'd submit.

Just received shipment infor that FedEx label generated. One problem for me now is Total wireless Ups shipment for iPhone 6s is incorrect and I do not know when the 6s for trading in will arrive. Got in with the A71 deal in the past with the same 6s for like $35 (6s was $70 then). Don't know why 6s is still so valuable but the 6s has gotten me an iPad for cheap when Apple store accepted iPhone 6s at higher value (no more now), Pixel 6 for free at T-Mobile with Magenta Max. Currently 6s reconditioned is about $90 ($49 + $50 plan and 25% off with email enrollment) at total wireless.

Just dropped my mint condition Pixel 3 and mint condition Lenovo Moto Tab4 off. I took a bunch of photos of each device next to the return labels before and taking them out of their cases and removing the screen protectors. I then wiped the devices, took a 2-3 minute video of each before turning and while they boot into the welcome screen, taking care to film the entire screen, back, and charging port to show no damages or dead pixels. I'm hoping that don't run into nightmare stories posted, but if I do, I'll definitely has something to show customer service. Good luck to everyone.

I finally got the email with the shipping label for the trade in. The product is arriving tomorrow.

I think it's strange that:
>The initial purchase emails from samsung did not include link to shipping label, or state that shipping label would be emailed a few days later, or any reference to returning trade in at all
>I'm the only one in this entire thread that seemed concerned about it.

More unsolicited opinion/advice:

Factory reset you trade in before sending it,or you did not meet the terms. Who knows what will happen next if you don't. (be charged $350 without contact?, cough)

Charge the trade in to full and TURN IT OFF before sending it. If the battery is dead when Samsung inspects it the trade in will not meet terms that 'It must boot up' even if it would boot up after being charged for 10 min. Also, it's disrespectful. I wouldn't want to be an employee dealing with trade ins with dead batteries.

Protect yourself, and calm your soul, by taking some pictures. One pic of the screen during factory reset, and another showing battery level at full. It takes no effort at all if you do it instead of think hard if you should bother or not.

For new tablets being shipped, A SIGNATURE is required so you want track the order and be around when the delivery guy comes.

Great deal. It's a good time to jump through all the little hoops with percision.
