His parents bought this for his son. Grandparents and grandkids are quite common nowadays.

Only 3.7mph limit. For 12v, would prefer minimum 5mph. This is too slow.

It's shown some light antiviral properties but it has never been studied and properly peer reviewed for viral infections. It's been an off label use for viral infections that again, showed minimal properties and has no studies against SARS viral infections. Do you know what has been tested, studied and peer reviewed by scientists that can help against COVID 19 infections and death? Pfizer, Moderns and J&J vaccines. This isn't a place to discuss science related to our pandemic.

Idiotic comments aside, is this a good gift for my 1.5 yr niece? Most comments don't answer this. Thanks.
"Light" antiviral properties? It's a treatment of choice for some pretty nasty viruses and has been used in humans for decades.

What is ivermectin?
Ivermectin is an anti-parasite medication used to treat parasitic diseases.

Ivermectin is an FDA approved drug for use in humans to treat a variety of parasitic infections including parasitic worms, hookworm and whipworm. It may also be used as an effective treatment for a wide range of other conditions and as a treatment of onchocerciasis, intestinal strongyloidiasis and onchocerciasis or river blindness.

The antiviral activity of Ivermectin has been shown against a wide range of RNA and DNA viruses, for example, dengue, Zika, yellow fever, and others.
Last I checked, those are some pretty nasty viruses it's used for.

Regardless, the idiot original poster of that comment equating Ivermectin to HORSE MEDICINE is just spreading stupid lies and FUD from CNN.

Now back to your regular channel.

Literally the next paragraph:

"The FDA has not approved ivermectin for use in treating or preventing COVID-19 infection in humans. The World Health Organization (WHO) recommend not to use ivermectin in patients with COVID-19 to reduce viral replication, except in clinical trials.

Experimental studies for ivermectin as an adjunct treatment for antiviral effects of hospitalized adult COVID-19 patients: a randomized multi-center clinical trial. There is currently insufficient evidence from the COVID-19 Treatment Guidelines Panel to recommend either for or against the use of ivermectin in Covid-19 patients for the treatment of severe or mild COVID-19 symptoms."

How fast is 3.5 mph?

Not disputing vaccines work and not disputing Ivermectin isn't fda approved for Covid. Just that are people posting that it's a horse dewormer and nothing else.

3.5 mph is a slow jog for me on a treadmill.

Absolutely nothing. Which is what you are about to become!

It's a shame these things don't have an upgrade path for a little more speed. My youngest is a bit too big to be satisfied by going as fast as a brisk walk.

Well my great nephews have had dirt bikes since they were 7 so I can't imagine a pretend bike like this can appeal to many kids over 5 .
