That is a different model. This is the newer version of that model plus some extra features.

Just ordered and picked it up today from the local best buy. Actually got the SP301 model instead of FT301. I think this make the deal sweeter.

Same here. First store carried the FT. Had a second store close by and decided to try my luck there. Sure enough, the second store carried the SP model instead (although labeled as FT on their display cards and rang up as such). One online review stating similar experience as yours. Guess it all depends on which store you go to. Sweet deal!

The SP has two more functions (13 in 1 vs 11 in 1): reheat and dehydrate. Retails for more as a result

oh I see, so some of the best buy could be actually selling sp301 though they're shown as ft301 on the website?

Correct. And they will be labeled and ring up as FT's in store (although the box will indicate if it's the SP model). Doesn't seem to be region wide thing, I have two stores close by and one had the FT, the other the SP model.

just got one at local Best Buy at Milpitas CA, confirmed it is ctually sp301 model with ft301 tag on it.
