This seems like a pretty good deal for a moderately powered thin laptop. I placed an order for an Open Box - Excellent and the total was $1200 after tax, I think it would be hard to beat that unless you go for the MSI deal but I've been so put off by mixed reviews for MSI brand. I was hoping to snag a Legion 5 Pro with a 3070, but I haven't been able to catch any of the deals when they happen, but I suppose one could just return this under holiday return policy if another deal pops up.

Too expensive for a 3060 laptop.

$1100 similar specs, 3060, 16GB, 512GB NVMe, 11800H>5800H, costco return policy

75W TGP graphic + 10W with dynamic boost, all plastic shitty build quality and one of the worst 45% NTSC display with horrendous slow response time. May be do some research before posting. That's actually less than what you're paying for.

Does anyone know if the actual response time of the display in this build has been measured somewhere? I imagine it's pretty good but want to see the real specs if possible. Thank you!

How does this compare to the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15 GA503 @$1550 from Best Buy? That has a 5900H precessor and 3070 GPU
I'm curious as well. I'm typing this from that Asus GA503 now and have had it a week, and had lots of problems. I've used Asus motherboards for years and years, but the asus software for their ROG series seems quite buggy. I haven't been able to get the backlight to work at all, and the bios that came on this laptop wouldn't activate windows, seems like the OEM product key had been stripped out so I'm likely to return this and get the Lenovo instead, even if it is slightly less spec for the same price (I got the Asus for ~$1400 openbox).

Power Delivery (PD) does that mean it can charge via usb-c when its not under full load?
Yea it can. You need a 100W charger

How do you have the two external monitors hooked up? My 7 slim came with usb-c to hdmi, vga, usb adaptor. So i have two monitors connected to the adaptor via hdmi and vga but only one of the external monitors will extend from the desktop, the other external monitor will only duplicate the 1st external monitor. Talked to Lenovo tech support and they said both monitors should extend and maybe the adaptor is defective. They said the sales team would contact me to replace the adaptor snd they never called back ugh. Considering buying an adaptor that has like 2 displayports and at least 1 hdmi port, but it's tough to find.
Overall I love the slim 7.
Any slick deals on the 32gb ram to replace the removeable 8gb?
I'm running two USB C "hubs" right now. One CableMatters and one AEHR (no idea). Bought them both on Amazon. So each port is driving it's own monitor. I had some weirdness trying to drive a 4K monitor and could only do it as a stand alone at 60hz. No idea why.

EDIT: Both of my monitors are being driven by displayport and not HDMI, so that might be part of it.... the 4K was being run by HDMI.

Thanks, I really liked the Zephyrus G15 GA503 when I checked it out at bestbuy but decided to hold off because of no webcam. I think my son will like the legion slim. Not too bulky, has gpu for gaming , and webcam for school. We shall see.

Had a chance to play with the katana and slim 7 in person and I would definitely pick the slim 7. Build quality on the legion slim 7 is so much better. The katana is flimsy. The screen rocks back and forth on its hinges and the laptop panels squeaks and creaks when squeezed or pressed on. Unless you're on a tight budget, I would stay away from the katana

Almost similar but this has more metal construction than Legion 5 pro. It's slimmer and almost 1.3 lbs lighter.

I have the Legion 7 slim (5800/3060) and absolutely love pretty much everything about it. Build quality, keyboard, etc...

However using a Plugable Docking station to my dual Samsung 1080p monitors and it just seems laggy when dragging windows at times. Idk it's weird, just doesn't feel sharp/crisp like my desktop did even tho it had inferior equipment.

Can't figure it out . . . Games / videos don't stutter or anything.

This is overpriced for a non full speed 3060 you can get a lower speed 3070 that's better than this
Please show me where? Haven't seen any decent 3070 under $1300. And that walmart deal for 1400 is like a unicorn.
