Thanks to Deal Hunter JuJuFrankenbean for finding this deal.
$90 for this center is a STEAL. I paid $150 for it a few years ago and thought I got a great deal. It's an excellent speaker, and I can't think of a better option anywhere near this price point.
590 makes nice stocking stuffers
That center is probably the best deal you can get. I might buy another just in case.

Yep, The towers seem to be way over? if we want to do a matching lcr
I've been waiting on the center go on sale again to pair with my 530s in my small bonus room. $90 is even cheaper than the $100 it was the last time I missed out.
Now, I just need to figure out what surrounds I want to use…
I recently bought 3 590s for my LCR. I haven't heard sound like this anywhere. Even Dolby vision theaters. 449 is a steal. If you can fit a 590 for your center, I'd do it instead of a 520c. I have a pair of 580s for front wides, a set of 530s for front height. 4x Polk RC80I overheads, Polk FXi5 surround, Polk rti150 rear surround (which I replaced the front with 590s) Two Monolith 15s which are on sale for $999. I can't imagine a home theater that can sound any better.
I have a 5.1 Polk setup.
I have been looking at the 590's forever but currently have
2x Polk Monitor 70's Front
1x Polk CS2 Center
2x Polk Monitor 30 Surround
I just added the surround this weekend to start actually using 5.1 and the Center that I normally dont use now is in use and I found it not so great having all the dialog come from that center speaker vs both of the Monitor 70's like I am used too.
Would this 520C actually be an upgrade? The drivers are smaller, and the frequency response is less. But setting the speakers to "small" and letting the subs handle the bass may negate that.
But also in that same boat, it makes upgrading to the 590's kind of a moot point as if I run those as small as well I cant see much benefit over say the 570's or my current Monitor 70's.
Would love to have someone key in with experience between the two.
I am kinda OCD about matching, so not sure how just upgrading the center would work in my setup as I am actually really happy with the other speakers and think the 590's would just be a waist in my setup.
I just grabbed... TWO of the 15 Monoprice Subs so I am not sure how the rest of the system will balance out once I add those to it to replace the single BIC F12 I have now.

Recently watched Dune. It's surreal.
How would you compare 580 to 590 ? I'm concerned 590's might be too big in a living room. I'm thinking of using these with a sonos amp for 2.0 deployment maybe a future expansion with a sonos sub.
Helluva deal on the 520c. I use the 550p for my office music system. I like that it's sealed for that purpose. I wouldn't use it in home theater though. Better to get something ported for LFE.

Your TV must be comically high up on your wall or you have it behind an acoustically transparent projector screen.

590 is big. Doubt you'll be able to discern a difference bw the two.

I really don't want to do the audio transparent screen. But while I love the 520C, it does start giving up past ~100dB, even when crossed over at 80Hz.

The 590's may have better directivity (good on&off-axis frequency response) and may play a bit louder, but I wouldn't expect it to be a really big upgrade. If you don't have a receiver with room correction (DIRAC or Audyssey XT32, or now YPAO RSC), then that's where i'd put the money, especially since you're definitely good on subwoofers. Also, I'd set every speaker to small and cross them over at 80Hz if you haven't already. I didn't believe that technique until I gave it a shot. Audioholics has a few good videos about this on youtube.
