Scroll down to the question about using streaming apps without a subscription and the response is that you must have an active JRNY subscription to use those services.

The bike itself does come with an annual subscription though for free which is a $150 value. Possibly your friend didn't realize they have a free subscription? As for the other apps, those would need to be used with a tablet or phone. They are not installed on the device and the device/screen doesn't allow installing apps from what I remember.

Yes, while the bike has a screen, it (meaning the screen) only works with JRNY and the streaming services. You can not watch Peloton or other exercises services on the built in screen. See previous screenshot and copy from the Target App.

Nice find OP.
This is essentially the same as the Schwinn IC4 other then the screen I think? I have the IC4 and the speed seems to register way too fast... i.e. I can be barely pedaling on whatever resistance and the speed is very inflated. Does anyone who has either of these know how to fix that or if it can be fixed?

Have been researching exercise bikes recently. While the Bowflex C7 does have a built-in screen, the screen appears to only work with JRNY and streaming services (Netflix, Disney+, etc.) and only works with an active JRNY subscription. If you want to use Peloton or other services you would use your own tablet or phone.

I paid full price on basically this bike last year (c6 w/o screen). I really like the bike (I use with peloton app) and this is an excellent deal.

That is incorrect. A quick search of the website shows you can use JRNY, Peloton or Zwift.

This is also the only bike you don't have to jailbreak to get streaming services on.
