Was about to bite but I believe that these older XT2s come with a Sync Module that doesn't support USB storage. This means you need a Blink subscription to view and store recorded videos…

I'm too much of cheap basterd to pay monthly fees unfortunately so these cams are no go for me. Shame, as they seem very decent for the price…

XT,XT2 and Indoor gen 1 have 7200s of cloud storage irrespective of when you bought it. The subscription only applies to other blink devices. Credit to justwanna.

Not true, I have the old versions and never paid subscription ever, you get X amount of free storage … never been even 5% full

Not if you add more XT2 cameras. This deal is about XT2 cameras. And if you want to add other Blink cameras, you can use local storage if you buy a Sync Module 2. These cameras work fine for what they are and do have limitations. If you want serious security, invest a lot more in a wired POE camera system with an NVR for continuous recording and much better quality video. But not everyone needs or wants that.

Yes, with the XT2 camera kit (which includes the required sync module) you will have 7200 seconds free cloud storage only for those XT2 cameras. If you add other models (such as the Blink Mini) later, you'll need to pay a subscription fee or purchase a Sync Module 2 that can use a USB drive for local storage.

They do include a basic mount that you can mount with screws.

No, they cannot continuously record. The most you can do is a 60s clip with a 10s retrigger time. Recording longer and more often will use a lot more battery. The are good for recording motion, especially in places where hard wiring a camera is not convenient.

The free cloud storage is for grandfathered accounts, does not matter what camera you add to your system. You can add the new blink doorbell and still have free storage if your account is grandfathered. Per the q&a on the blink doorbell page

"Accounts that were created on or before April 15, 2020, continue to have the original 7200 seconds (2 hours) of cloud storage per Sync Module."

Buying these used cameras will not get you free storage if you don't have a grandfathered account, and if your account is grandfathered you can buy any new blink product and not have to pay subscription fee.

I bought two XT2 cameras a few years back and added a mini camera last year. I've never had a subscription fee with the three cameras using cloud storage.

No you won't. Have to have a grandfathered account.

So much misinformation.

Anyways, my Blink system had been great so far. Only had to change the batteries once since getting them. Basic system that catches delivery packages and any movement by my garage and front door. This is all I need in a system.

Honestly a good price if you need additional cameras.

I've had what I believe are these exact ones. Free 2 weeks of cloud storage. No idea how they're making money giving free cloud but that's why I love it over my Eufy cams
