Citi Custom Cash 5% credit card: new, better offer to earn $300 after $1000 spend available online

For those unaware, the Citi Custom Cash is a relatively new card that gives 5% back on up to $500 of spending each billing cycle in the category you spend in most (e.g. groceries, dining, gas). No having to figure out what the current quarter's bonus category is to get 5% back.
Previously the only offer available online for this card was $200 on $750 of spending in the first 3 months. You can browse that thread for more info and comments about the card. (There was a $300 offer available in Citi branches, but those are only found in major US cities.)
To find this offer, simply log in to Credit Karma and browse suggested credit card offers and you should see it. Alternatively, you can find a direct link on this reddit thread. I'm not posting the direct link itself as I'm assuming SD will mangle the URL.

If I buy a new laptop or TV at best buy or amazon spending $1,000 after getting this card, is that eligible for the 300 dollar intro bonus or does it have to be certain kinds of purchases?

I just called and adjusted my billing cycle to begin at the beginning of the month, so I can seamlessly switch between this and other 5% quarterly cards. For a hypothetical example, Jan-Mar I'll use Discover for groceries, Apr-Jun I'll use Chase, Jul-Sep I'll use this card (meanwhile I could use this card for Transit or Gas or something else the other months)
lol they finally approved me but gave me a $500 credit limit....
I have a high 700s credit score, a citi checking account and a Citi doublecash with a $9000 credit limit. something doesnt make sense...
I would suggest you ask them to Rebrand the double cash card. At worst ask them to close the double cash card account and transfer the credit limit to your new card. While your credit score may be high keep in mind they're already extending a $9,000 credit limit to you so they're going to be conservative about adding to it. Or perhaps they can flip the credit limit on the two cards or split the total credit limit between the two cards evenly.
Yeah, 2 years. And if you buy at costco like I did for my 77" sony, you get 1 year factory, 1 year costco, 3 years allstate (5 years total from costco), then add 2 years from citi for a total of 7 years.
Application pending … 820 score.
Any chances for approval or pending means im already denied ?
Update : checked my online application status says approved for 7.5k

Citi limits you to just two credit applications (personal and business) every 65 days, also called the "2/65" Rule.
Citi will also deny your application if you have more than six hard credit inquiries in the last six months.
11/17 Card paperwork
11/20 Got actual card
Citi did give temp card info with 10% credit limit right away (YMMV) -- was able to add that to Apple Pay while waiting for actual card

The "Your FICO Score" page on citi.com says I have a 818 rating.
But they didn't originally approve me for this amount. I've asked for a credit increase a few times.
