Citi Custom Cash 5% credit card: new, better offer to earn $300 after $1000 spend available online

For those unaware, the Citi Custom Cash is a relatively new card that gives 5% back on up to $500 of spending each billing cycle in the category you spend in most (e.g. groceries, dining, gas). No having to figure out what the current quarter's bonus category is to get 5% back.
Previously the only offer available online for this card was $200 on $750 of spending in the first 3 months. You can browse that thread for more info and comments about the card. (There was a $300 offer available in Citi branches, but those are only found in major US cities.)
To find this offer, simply log in to Credit Karma and browse suggested credit card offers and you should see it. Alternatively, you can find a direct link on this reddit thread. I'm not posting the direct link itself as I'm assuming SD will mangle the URL.

applied from credit karma and instant approval with 811 score. i'm sure they look at more than just credit score for those who were denied with higher tier scores.
Why do you need a nice tv? Do you actually watch TV alot?
Got the LG C1 that's on sale right now primarily for playing PS5 games and then also watching streaming services. I don't watch live tv at all, just movies and tv shows on netflix/prime.
Maybe I should get one just for gas and my wife could get one just for groceries.
We already have the Freedom and the Discover and the Citi Cash back.
My only issue is... you save up to $25 per month.... so that is up to $300 per year. I think you need to track your groceries... make sure you don't spend more then $500 per month.
You should call the citi credit card reconsideration phone number:
1-800-695-5171
Citi limits you to just two credit applications (personal and business) every 65 days, also called the "2/65" Rule.
Citi will also deny your application if you have more than six hard credit inquiries in the last six months.
Thanks for the post. I called them and unfortunately they were totally useless in my case. Basically they just said to wait for their denial letter in the mail, to explain what happened and that there was nothing else they could do regarding "reconsideration." (near perfect credit, all bills paid off on time, paid-off mortgage, etc)
I applied for my wife and she got instantly approved for $6900 CL. Citi said her FICO is 792 from Equifax. She's already had 3 Citi cards with $22K total credit. I was worried since Citi is notorious for denying applicants with excellent credit. But in our case everything went smoothly.

Pretty sure this is fraud and identity theft. Punishable by jail time.
This poster does it legally. Anyone posting they do it for their spouse is moronic. Yelling to the world I am performing an illegal activity. Idiots.
Yes....
I don't understand the others.... In our family we share all cards and all bank accounts, so I can kind of understand what those other posters did. BUT if I did that it would be my head, it is based on communication with our partner which those other people don't seem to have any.

I will use this as a dedicated grocery card. And I will get my wife to sign up and we will use hers as a dedicated gas card.
We also have the Citi 2% cash back and Chase Freedom and Discover cards... that should cover me with other purchases.
Cash back rules.
