1. Theragun was developed by a doctor who needed to heal from a lingering injury (that would not heal) and he first came up with the idea of Percussion Massage / Therapy (i.e. he invented Percussion Massage / Therapy).

2. Therefore, Theragun essentially was the "original" product and all other similar products appear to use similar technologies.
3. Theragun and Hyperice Hypervolt are considered to be the top two manufacturers of Percussion Massage / Therapy products.
4. It appears that Theragun costs more than Hyperice Hypervolt for similar products along their product lines (which may or may not be worth the cost depending on preference, usage, etc.).
5. The Hypervolt Plus features a patented pressure sensor with three levels, which, well, is patented so, its only a feature on certain Hyperice Hypervolt Percussion Massage devices.
6. I forwarded this deal to a Chiropractor I know and he thought it was an incredible price. I also passed this deal to a Physical Therapist I know as well.

As for me, I ordered this item on November 11, 2021.
I just checked my order status and the status was still listed as "Order Received" on Costco.com.
-- via chat with Costco Customer Service, they advised that this item is being shipped directly by the manufacturer
-- via subsequent telephone call with manufacturer (Hyperice), they indicated that my order was "released in the warehouse" and will ship tomorrow
-- So, from what I've been able to determine, these items are shipping out but, in a delayed manner ... so, the deal is still live, but, it looks like delivery might be between 10 and 17 days from ordering and delivery (depending on how far away the delivery location is from Hyperice.

Things I did not like about the Hyperice:
1) clunky double on/off system where you have to click a switch then press a button vs Theragun where you just long press main button to turn on.
2) physical shape is awkward to hold when trying to massage back or lower legs while standing. The triangle shape of the Theragun gives you 3 different hold points making this much more comfortable.
3) I was always getting pinched removing heads on the Hyperice -- that said the one redeeming part of the Hyperice is it has better heads and included accessories.
4) The Hyperice doesn't have low speeds. Everyone things you need a ton of power and faster is better, but some times you just need a lighter touch -- not that 1700 RPM, the low speed on the Theragun is "light"
5) Hyperice's phone app (at the time, can't comment now) is horrible.
In general I'm very happy with the Theragun -- I have the Elite (middle of the pack). The one thing I don't like is the company tries to be the Apple of massage guns and the extra accessories are very expensive for what they are. But if you get one I highly recommend the charging stand and the dual finger adapter. I didn't but extra heads for the dual finger, just improvised w/ what I had, but it's still heaven on my glutes, quads, and calves before and after a run.

I just checked the price for the Theragun Elite on Amazon and noticed that it is currently selling for $390 and has been that selling at that price on Amazon per Camel Camel Camel consistently without a change in price since August 2021.
