This was a decent deal at 30% off a few weeks ago, can't beat 40%.

I had no idea these things were so expensive. If I just need the once-a-season use to remove gas from mower or snow blower, are there less expensive options that would work? I don't know what makes this worth while over a $20 from Amazon.

Also, this a legit site?

I have ordered from them once prior to this order for some oil filters and drain plugs, seem legit especially for VW / Audi stuff.

You need one of those Multi-Use Transfer Pump from Harbor freight, they're $8.

Very popular site for auto parts, and this is a great deal on a quality oil extractor.

i'd only get this if your car has a filter in the engine bay, which only 1 of my cars do. i can definitely see the use case for it

I just paid $150+tax for an oil change on a VW 2.0 TSI engine. The car was never in the air, and the oil was extracted from the dipstick tube. The oil filter is easily accessible as well. At this price it will pay for itself after the next oil change.

Also, there are a few sites that specialize in aftermarket performance products, but I buy a majority of my parts from ECS for my Audi & VW.

As opposed to under the car next to or near the oil pan. If you have to remove the undertray (if the car has it) and crawl under to access the oil filter you might as well drain from below. If your filter is in the bay above, you might as well extract the oil and never go under the car.

I guess - as opposed to having the filter at the bottom of the car which requires lifting up the car using jacks or ramps. If you are lifting up the car, you might as well drain the oil using the drain plug at the bottom.

However, you can still use the pump for other fluids besides engine oil - power steering fluid, CVT/Transmission fluid, brake fluid, coolant.

This is currently $59.49 on a lightening deal.

May not be as good of quality, but it has very favorable reviews and an option to connect it to an air compressor so you dont have to manually pump it. Had a $50 gift card so I bought it. Talk me out of it!

If you have a car with a top mounted oil filter, this is a no brainer. I use it on my own vehicle (VW) and both of my parents' subarus and it has easily paid for itself.
