Had the same issue with BB this week and the Apple TV deal from the Tustin store. They said their policy states that the item has to be available to purchase online for in store pickup. They sent me the link to the policy and it doesn't say that anywhere, haha. Super annoying! I may just make the drive now from LA to grab this plus the Apple TV 🤷🏻

If youre not afraid of used ore refurb, a lot of people have been selling their LGA1200 boards for cheap on ebay because of the large performance gains of the new 12th gen CPU's, which outperform Zen 3 and are significantly cheaper. But yes, my local MC has sold out and isnt planning to restock the LGA1200 boards since they are old now.

Anyone know if this CPU is compatible with a HP Pavilion Desktop that currently has a i5-10400 (TP01-1016)? Manufacturer spec states i7-10700 compatibility. Will a K version work?

Unless the motherboard oddly has a whitelist, it will work. "K" just means its possible to overclock, but your prebuilt board wont support overclocking, should work regardless.

On a side note people on reddit are saying that Best Buy WILL price match, just takes a few retries with online chat support to find a rep willing to get a manager override.

Yeah, I'm planning to get one ASRock z590 from Newegg, they are on sale now. 10th i5 or i7 performs much weaker than 12th CPUs, but they are still enough for most of people's daily use.

I work with Best Buy employees sometimes (don't actually work for Best Buy) and man these workers take this price match policy to heart. If the price match is a significant discount I have seen them do whatever it takes to deny it or add their geek squad or membership promo in order for the customer to get the price match. Its pretty bad.

The higher the cost the more "employee points" they get. High price items are gold mines for them.

Dang I just got a 5800x from them to upgrade from my 2700x. Guess I'll try tomorrow for this proc then wait for a mobo deal to upgrade my r5 2600 rig.

5800x was available from Microcenter last week for $299. It's $330 now. Still a good price.

Return the i9 no? I was long considering the 10th gen i9 but this was too good to pass up. Nice jumping 4 generations from my 6700k at half the price too!
