Some of these air fryers are getting so big. They might as well be called mini ovens.
These types of "air fryers" are just convection ovens re-named.

Also, what is the benefit of french doors on a convection oven?

I don't know anything about the other air fryers but I have this one. Bought it last Black Friday and I love it!

Why replace your oven, are these more efficient?
I'd like to get one, but have limited counter space
Its much faster to heat up than your big oven. Ex: if you want fries its quite quick. Regarding space, we actually keep ours outside due to space and the type of foods we use it for.

I stay away from the microwave oven. Does this air fry oven also has radiation
like microwave oven?

Thank you.
I am looking to dispose of my microwave oven. Do you know if they need to be buried so deep in case of a nuclear spill?

Thinking you maybe don't understand what radiation actually is.

... because if you did, you'd know that conventional ovens use radiation to heat, as well. [scienceofcooking.com]

Now that I've made you afraid of your kitchen, I'll say that air fryers are really just convection ovens. The smaller ones with the pull-out basket are a newer form-factor but it's the same principle which is heat and a fan to move that heat around so yes, they use the same kind of radiation your oven-with-stovetop uses to cook.

Eventually these will get big enough that it will make sense to set them on the floor instead of wasting counter space... And we'll put burners in the top for pots and pans... And everything old will be new again.

Trust me, just get this one, it is amazing and you HAVE to have the rotating basket, french fries come out perfect.

You bastard. Now I want that. Description says it works as a regular toaster, as well? This thing looks so hi-tech, asking it to "just" toast feels downright quaint.

I have an air fryer in my study room and a mini fridge next to my bed. I think I am strange but I never let that stop me to do what I want.

Most of the time a 5 qt air fryer is all you need to cook a meal for two. The traditional oven is there to cook a meal for 10 but other than Thanksgiving I think it is a waste, similar to how people in the US think they need a truck but 99% of the time they just need a grocery getter.

I actually think there should be a stackable / modular kitchen appliance that includes (from bottom to top): dishwasher, fridge, air fryer, cabinet, sort of like how they stack the driver on top of the washer. Maybe there are already something like that for tiny apartments in Japan.

I have an old Cuisinart toaster/convection oven and was looking for an air fryer.

This model is big and I have not seen another equivalent 26 Qt air fryer for under $200. Probably won't get it because I don't need something so large.

I have a Foodi Grill and I use it as an oven replacement constantly. Cheaper to run electric wise than my stove.
