Deal History

- This is good value.
- The $1200 "full price" is just laughably absurd ($800 absolute max).
- Non-Fuel.
- Includes three 4 ah batteries (Vs. 5 ah as their standard sized M18 ones), but they weigh less without being completely worthless like their awful 1.5 ah M18 ones.
- The three drills are worth average $100/ea.
- Cut-off around $80
- Multi-tool $70
- Compact Blower $80
- Non-standard 6-1/2" circular saw $??, not much
- Hackzall $40
- Work Light $50
So I'm at $620 in value using rough SD historic prices, even when I exclude the non-standard circular saw and the batteries. So at this price it is solid if you want the stuff in it. If you don't want the drills in particular this should skip, as most of the value is there, with an assortment of accessories making up the rest.
And, still not FUEL level.
What a scam...regular price $1,199 for entry level tools lol

I bought this deal, compared to other sets this price is pretty good in my opinion, is it fuel? No. Am I a contractor, no I'm a homeowner, don't see the need for a fuel at this point.
Now I haven't used all of the tools but they feel like decent quality stuff and the 3 4ah batteries is more than enough for me.
I say good deal, but what would I know I've only been staring at milwaukee sets for a year or so.
It's a decent price. The tools are of good quality, but not the most powerful. If you use it with any regularity, you'll want brushless or fuel versions, but if you fit the use case you already knew that. The blower is good for sawdust, the impact wrench might get your lugnuts off. I think the better deal is the smaller set for a couple hundred less without these tools.

MSRP dude. MSRP. They obviously will add the price of each tool individually to the combo.
And idk what you're smoking thinking that you're going to get Fuel for this price. Most fuel tools go for $150-$200 EACH, so expecting 9 fuel tools for $500 is quite insane.

Very helpful comment, thanks. By any chance do you know what a good price would be for the M18 Fuel Combos? Doesn't seem to be much SD history for those kits.

Not fuel but still good and pretty comprehensive, just need a miter. However, you can probably get some top notch or even more tools with ryobi of ridgid for the same price. Or build your tool set with hacks. More work and time but you'll have the best ones. That's what I did. Here I am $4k later 😢
You can get better tools for less. You can get 4 Dewalt Power Detect Brushless tools, and a XR Impact Driver for $549 at Lowes. 8.0 (21700 cells) ,& 2.0 battery kit and rolling tool bag storage.
Ryobi has 6 Brushless tools kit for $319 after the hack with the electrostatic sprayer.
Do you have a link to the DeWalt set please? Tried searching but couldn't find it.
I bought them from 3 different deals at lowes, but for the same $600, I just bought a set of Dewalt xr tools. Dcd998 hammer drill, dcf887 impact driver, xr power detect 71/2" circular saw, 368 xr recip saw, 3 speed xr multi tool, 2x8A and 2x2A batteries. I'm a first time buyer, so if somebody has any comments on my set of tools and how a better bundle can be built, please let me know.

That's what I did, totally not needed as a diy'er, but I've thought of handy manning on the side as I'm pretty handy (built a wraparound pool deck, rewired garage, kitchen, etc).
I've been accruing Makita brushless tools over the last year or so and between crazy 10 minute long Amazon deals and HD hacks and selling off extra batteries/tools...I'm only $600-700 in and have the x2 36v 7.25" circular saw, x2 36v blower (beast), xt288 hammer drill and impact, grinder, jigsaw (not brushless), 1/2" big boy impact wrench, router, led flashlight and their powerhouse work light on last summers deal.
I did go milwaukee for their 12v Fuel automotive stubby impact, extended ratchet, right angle impact, underhood light, rocket light...and Ryobi for their inflator, 2 or 3 gallon vac, fans, etc. Oh, let's not forget the Dewalt xr sander kit and xr oscillating kit fir $99 each.
All together (makita, milwaukee, Ryobi, dewalt) i think im in about $1,300+/- for like $3,500+ msrp of high end tools.
