Although the Lenovo 10e is arguably not a better Chromebook, I think there's a case to be made that it could be the better device for your application. The $30 premium for the keyboard may make the deal less attractive if you do need that for some productivity purposes.
Good luck!

Chrome OS gets by without needing much in the way of CPU horsepower. Even this deal's "old" Atom CPU (surprised that kind of post hadn't already appeared) is a good, solid entry point.
Good luck!

The resolution will.
A new Fire tablet or used iPad will be head and shoulders better experience.
I'm saying this with the experience of owning all the devices referenced.
For everyone else in this thread, this CPU is SLOW. For running the most basic Android apps, you'll be fine. For web browsing with multiple tabs, it will suck though.

That's what always make me loathe to buy/recommend a new MediaTek device, for example, without some qualifications as I think the R11 is great for what it does but perhaps doesn't fully represent what a Chromebook could/should be anymore. Otherwise the extra oompf in the newer Atom CPUs has generally raised that bar for me enough to make them something which I can recommend in a Chromebook.
(Which usually already has qualifications about where those devices excel vs. an iPad/Fire tablet/Windows PC/etc.)
I also own a premium Chromebook, but I'm always loathe to recommend those to all but the dedicated Chrome OS aficionados or buyers with money to burn since the practical application of horsepower (or even extra RAM) within Chrome OS is pretty limited.... unless you do have an addiction to multiple open tabs(?).
Good luck!
