FYI Google will start charging for the Sleep Tracking feature on the Nest Hub (2nd gen) in 2022

https://support.google.com/google...r/10357290

Edit: nevermind, now extended to 2023

The article says it's free in 2022 and they'll start charging in 2023.

Oh darn guess I'll keep using my watch which is better anyways especially if you don't sleep alone. There's no way they can tell who is snoring and who is moving accurately enough.

Good catch, it was 2022 as of a couple weeks ago, looks like they've since extended it to 2023.

I don't want anger the Slickdeals admins by posting a link, but if you search for the Walmart black friday ads, some other sites have a scan of the leaked 11/22 ad. It's in there.

I wouldn't be surprised to see it at that price at other retailers on the 18th. Generally, when Google itself drops the price, other retailers (Target, Best Buy, Walmart, Kohl's, Lowe's) follow suit, since they'd obviously prefer you buy it from them instead of directly from Google.

Bought a few Google Home products about two years ago. They feel as if they've become less responsive and kind of crappy. I suspect it's updates that throw everything off balance. I went from using them daily for a variety of things to use them as nightstand TV and alarm clock, and light switch. Even then asking it to do things sometimes takes a few tries. "Hey Google... turn on lights" gets me sure "Playing 2 Live Crew's Greatest Hits on Spotify" or even better, I'm being told things are "set" and I can't find anything I've 'set' in a timer, reminder, or anything I can think of. I might be slowly enabling SkyNet for all I know. Do not hook it up to the same WiFi as grandpa's iron lung. You might be trying to set a pasta timer and it will turn off grandpa.
