Considering I actually work in the semiconductor industry and I keep a close eye on these things, feel free to keep arguing with me. We can go into TDP's too if you want to keep praising intel.
Intels Big/little architecture (12th gen Alder Lake) is looking very promising, but we will see AMD's answer to that new architecture (AMD will most likely use the same). ARM has popularized this architecture in cell phones/tablets for years.
The big problem with a lot of intel processors is thermal bottlenecks. Since cooling has greatly improved the past 2 gens of laptops, I will admit I don't know if they are capable of running a full blast without throttling above 95-100C for extended periods of gaming. AMD laptops should have much less hassle at dealing with the almost 1/4 less heat than the intel TDP...

With this one there is no amex offer/military discount/ good cashback though, so it would cost around 600-700 dollars for this upgrade... seems not worth it..
