I'm not sure about the other products in this kit, but do not put Armor All on your interior, please. It turns everything into an oily, sticky dust and dirt magnet. There are much better products to protect from UV damage that aren't a nightmare.
This is why I come to Slickdeals, for someone to make a good recommendation in the comments
I learned this the hard way but now use mothers VLR so much better

I used Superior Products Aqua Gloss dilute 1:1 for exterior trim , 4:1 for interior. Cheaper than Armor All but works better, none greasy/ oily shine.

I personally use 303 Aerospace protectant in my Chrysler 300 S. My car is triple black and the stuff does a nice job and doesn't get "sticky" like Armorall.

Read the comments, in short never use this product. Stick with Mothers VLR or 303 for interior. For exterior use any Meguiars or Mothers product. Armor all is just terrible and I wouldn't put it on any vehicle.

Crap products. Cleaners should remove dirt/debris without being oily or staining. Armor will stay wet and can lead to blotchy spots if not wiped away or applied heavily by accident. Their exterior stuff is junk too. Again with blotchy on black plastic or worse, premature gray fading. Also, tire shine that flicks off and ends up on the exterior. Pay more and wait for chemical guys or another mid range brand to go on sale. Amazon always chemical sales.

I'd go with Meguiers pro series for most exterior stuff. Chemical guys is also popular, but they are overpriced imho.

The pro detailers i know have found a few better individual products for niche items, but they use Meguiers to fill out the products they use because the quality is super consistent between batches, the company stands behind the product, and it is priced right.

Never seen that before.

Any performance car with an aggressive brake pad will create a bunch more brake dust.

Agree that Armorall's regular interior cleaner is not the best, but as long as you follow the instructions and don't overapply, its fine. Chemical Guys lives and breathes thanks to copious advertising and while many of their products are fine, they're generally shunned as overpriced by detailers.

If starting from scratch, this would be a good deal for a more or less complete package. I would be fine using the Armorall products until they run out, and replace them with superior products after. Personally, I use Meguiar's All Purpose Cleaner for interior cleaning and Aerospace 303 protectant for interior protecting/conditioning. Meguiar's is my default brand for detailing products.

CG is crap too. Their marketing team is pretty good though. Stick to brands like CarPro, Koch Chemie, Gtechniq, P&S, etc.

Anyone got recommendations for a bucket with a lid and a grit guard? Looking for one to store a batch of ONR for about a month to use on a few cars for the winter. I was thinking of just getting a $5 bucket from Home Depot and buying a grit guard from Amazon for $15 but there's still no lis
I think Lowe's or Home Depot have gamma lids for about $7. I can't remember off hand which store it was. $5 gallon bucket along with the lid and grit guard and you're good with ONR. I keep a bucket with about 2 gallons in my trunk at all times. I used a Chemical guys 3.5 gallon bucket, grit guard and gamma lid. I don't reuse my microfibers after use and use a new one for each panel. That way it keeps the ONR clean. You actually don't need a grit guard this way but I had one so I use it.

I actually ended up getting the buckets today from Home Depot. They're under $5 for the bucket and the accompanying lid was $2.50 or something like that. It's a lock-tite seal, or something like that, so when I close it for the first time, and want to open it again, I will have to tear off the seal. But the HD employee told me the lid was still reusable after that, which is all that matters.

I got the grit guard someone else in here recommended from Advance, so I got two for $15 with a coupon from a CB site, so I'm set there too. I don't plan to hand wash my car until the spring but I will keep one sealed bucket of ONR for the winter when the road salt gets to be an issue.I'll use the other bucket to store my microfibers and wash mitts and chemicals indoors, so that they don't freeze in the garage.

For the bucket of ONR that you have on-hand, at what point does it freeze? It gets to be in the 20s in Chicago, if not lower, and I plan to keep the 3 gallons of ONR with water in the garage.

Does anybody know if the bucket has a dirt catcher on the bottom? That plastic mesh kind of thing that catches the dirt when you wash out your sponge when you're washing your car… Thanks
