So I'll be the first hater post I guess, defined evidently as someone who doesn't worship and fawn over this game.
For me the game's writing was okay, but by the end the storylines had me disliking the characters so much I didn't care which died, none were likeable or deserved any sympathy. I just wanted the game to end, and sometimes it seemed it just would never do that. The game had elements that were unnecessarily gruesome and violent. I don't regret playing it, I just didn't like it as much as others.

Without a doubt, this is one of the best games I have ever played. The story is top notch and gameplay is absolute perfection. Without a doubt, this game belongs right up with the original in the greatest of all time.

I saw it got a bunch of hate due to "reasons"...but that stuff and story didn't bother me one bit.
