Yes, in fact shame on the top ps5 question reply. This deal is for the ssd without the heatsink but to use in a ps5 you need the one WITH a heatsink.

Wow! I somehow have both of these and the first one I got is a few weeks old and is perfect in my laptop with gen 3 (was pleasantly surprised that it worked). I got a second one last week from the same BB, but I'm now noticing it's slightly different and wasn't sure why. I'm actually trying to install it right now and having issues with my laptop trying to see it. I thought I was doing something wrong, but this makes total sense! So now I have to decide if I should return it or stick it in my PS5... but it sounds like I'll need to grab a heatsink first.

*edit: Hmmm, it seems I got it wrong. Both drives are the BAUY model and the second one has now been successfully cloned. It's odd because it sounds like these shouldn't work with a gen 3 motherboard (unless I'm wrong about that too).

I've got this, used it to upgrade from my 1tb HDD in my gaming laptop. Amazing, use it to load my games and obviously boot the computer so much faster. Beast of an SSD.

This Sabrent Heatsink might be better than the SN850 w/ Heatsink. You actually get airflow out of this.
