It's a good deal for what it is. The Razer Blade 14 had a good bit of issues but the 2 year warranty helps with that.
Razer laptops are amazing and terrible. They're super thin, high quality(externally atleast), and fairly well designed. But they have major QC issues, heat issues(inherent in the size mostly) and of course pricing. This reduces the pricing issue(I mean you're still paying $300-400 more than the best 3070 deals but not too bad considering) but the other two stick. QC is seriously terrible. Just go read some forums or articles. I know only the bad experiences get posted but believe me when I say the major issues are widespread.
But regardless, I'd be tempted to get this if I didn't have the 15. It's a good deal if it's what you need.
Depends upon what's the actual price of the product, isn't it? And you're getting full manufacturing warranty + 2 yrs extra warranty, unlike most refurbs with 3 to 6 month manufacturer warranty me

Razer's aren't known for quality and it's pretty bad they have to give a two year warranty on a refurb… Why are there so many refurbs?… Looking for trouble buying one of these at that price.

Your arguments doesn't make much of a sense in any thread and this is no exception. Almost all companies like Acer, Lenovo, Dell or HP, do have a separate refurbished store, as well as in eBay. Go there and see how many refurbished items they have.
Now coming to 2 years warranty by Allstate, maybe clicking on that link in the product page will help you instead of keep blabbering. That's a eBay refurbished store warranty policy for products with certain price range and common to other refurbished stores as well. It is clearly mentioned over there as well. Read the thread and the product page again.

Thing is, they have the 15-incher for $1599, and unless you are dead stuck on that one inch, it is a nearly $300 difference.

Ebay runs a number of promotions that have the allstate 2 year warranty included for refurb items. I just have issues with the allstate/squaretrade warranty because of the hoops you have to jump through to file a claim. And then they will offer to only refund you the cost of the warranty...
That is the Blade 15 base edition...1 inch larger display...Intel 10th gen chip (much older and less power efficient processor)...half the storage (512 vs 1TB)...worse display (1080p @165 hz vs 2K @165 hz). It does have thunderbolt 3 (unlike the 14" AMD version which just has USB-C) and a built-in network port though.
If you think that is basically the same machine with only the display size being different, I don't understand how you comparison shop when buying laptops...

If by 'much older' you mean a year to a year and a half, then yes it is 'much older'. For me the 1080p display is a plus, not a minus, on a 15-inch screen. You can make it 8K for all you want, the screen will still be 15 inches, so all you are doing is shrinking everything to oblivion, and not gaining screen real estate. I am moving from a 4k laptop to a 1080p, and vow never again to get a 4k laptop. As to the storage.... I bought an extra 1TB for my previous laptop for $82 just two years ago, and prefer that option than paying premium prices to the manufacturer. That is how I comparison shop laptops.
That said, I did not buy this either. I'm just saying that between the two, the 15-incher makes more sense to me for $300 less. If you have money to toss, then by all means, but the philosophy in Slickdeals is usually not spending more than you need for minimal gain.
I actually picked up an Asus ROG Zephyrus S15 (2020) for $1400 yesterday, so to each his own.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Super with ROG Boost
Intel Core i7-10875H
15.6" 300Hz 3ms Full HD IPS Display
32GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM | 1TB RAID 0 (512+512) PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD | Windows 10 Professional
Thunderbolt 3 | Gig+ Wi-Fi 6
I'll still toss out one of the SSDs, for the previous one mentioned above. Maybe even both depending on the deals that come out in the next couple of weeks.
