Just don't turn on the Multi User experimental feature in settings. In the latest firmware v34, it is now giving you an error when you try to run the same app at the same time on a single account. Even for games that explicitly allow you to do this.

Hope they fix it as for now it has ruined my 4-player Walkabout Mini Golf plans. We're already done it before, but v34 will break it if you turn on that setting, even once, and then turn it off again.

Does this require a high end PC? Never owned one before.

How is this tethered to the high end gaming PC? That's mainly how I would use it. How would it be different compared to say a Rift S?

I've heard it's actually very good, even wirelessly connected to a PC. I believe even better than the Rift line

No, this doesn't even require a PC at all. But you can use it with a gaming pc for other games not on the quest store.

You can use Airlink to play PCVR games. it's literally the only reason I came back to playing VR after having the OG Rift and not being tethered is amazing. You just need a solid wireless connection to your router and preferably your PC on ethernet, lots of people suggest buying some higher quality routers, I've been using the Verizon provided one and it's been no issue but I'm also like 10 ft away from it. so if you get the quest 2 , test it out before buying anything extra.

had oculus quest v1 and tried the 2 at a family members house… still sucks in comfort and that the deal breaker to me.. played most of alyx which is truly amazing but didn't even finish it. went back to switch and traditional… also tried the wireless feature for pc hookup (steamVr) but was god awful laggy …

on my older quest virtual desktop was pretty great.
could have been your settings, I think i've only experienced lag 1 or 2x on mine.

Thanks, will definitely try it wireless first but if not, I really don't mind being tethered if it has much better performance. Plus, I'd probably need it to be tethered seeing it has poor battery life.

I currently have Rift CV1. I love it but the cable and the screen door effect is really starting to bug me. Lol how's the SDE on quest 2? Think I'll pick this up tommorow.

I think I saw a Reddit thread for referral links, I would recommend going there instead of requesting them here.

Can anyone confirm exactly when this deal starts online? Is it midnight EST? Midnight local time? Or more like a 9 am tomorrow morning? I don't want to go to bed and wake up to find OoS.

Wondering the same thing. I think Target and Best Buy are CST, so I'd expect around then but would of liked confirmation.
