Just don't turn on the Multi User experimental feature in settings. In the latest firmware v34, it is now giving you an error when you try to run the same app at the same time on a single account. Even for games that explicitly allow you to do this.

Hope they fix it as for now it has ruined my 4-player Walkabout Mini Golf plans. We're already done it before, but v34 will break it if you turn on that setting, even once, and then turn it off again.

You can still use this without a FB account. I didn't have a Oculus before today. I opened a Oculus Dev account today. Follow instructions below.

Surprised by Amazon credit expiration date being 1/22/22 and it will only apply to items sold and shipped by Amazon. Not difficult to use it but they still can try
Buy a GC for whatever you want.

Side note: Right now I can add OQ2 128gb to my cart but the quantity is adjusted to 0 at check out, so it seems that Amazon is limiting each account to buying 1 unit only, or is it just my account?
I just checked and can confirm it's not just you. I get a big warning in red at check out that states:

"You have reached the purchase limit for this item. We have changed the quantity to the maximum allowable.

If the quantity has been set to 0, please delete the item (below the item details) to proceed."

Ok can confirm that the $50 discount AND the $50 digital credits (good for anything ships and sold by Amazon) worked even though it didn't indicate it on my invoice and gave me an error during checkout.

Received an email titled "Here's your promotional credit from your recent Amazon order" that confirmed the credit was applied. It's just weird that we can't SEE the credit anywhere except by adding a sold and shipped by Amazon product to cart.

Example item: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...X0DER&th=1 (2TB Crucial MX500 SSD that's also on sale for $168 ish)

So all-in-all
$299
-$50 (instant discount)
-$200 (Prime CC eGC)
-$50 (oculus50 promo )
+ tax

I would agree with the other comment that the extra GB isn't worth the extra money, especially when it is effectively $150 difference with this deal. I bought the 256 with strap from Costco when they first came out, but at that time it was a choice between 64 and 256. The Quest games get downloaded to the headset and can be deleted and re-installed. If your son has a gaming computer, he can play PC VR games with a cable or wirelessly, and those won't take any extra storage in the headset. There are a lot of free games and experiences, but do plan to set aside a little more money for games to go along with this, as you would when purchasing any gaming console.
I bought the 64GB about 8 months ago and it has been sufficient. The games tend to be smaller than their PC counterparts, and can be swapped out fairly easily. If getting another headset I would definitely get the 128Gb vs 256 given $100 difference.

You'll get two separate transactions. One for the $250 and another for the $50 gift card. I guess they do it that way to keep people from returning it and keeping the gift card, and since they are sending out the gift card separately, it's coming up as two transactions. I freaked out when I saw the $50 transaction, not knowing what it was for, but then I looked on down to see they had subtracted the $50 from the purchase of the Oculus
I paid with the red card and I only had one transaction for the 274 (I also got the monkey ball game on switch), so unless another 50 dollar charge shows up later on my account, it seems the 50 discount was applied and the gift card was added. It looks like some people who bought from Amazon are having something similar happen.

At $200 this sorta seems worth it.... I wonder if there is a way to force it to happen (the double -$50 glitch)

It's 2021 and they are charging 100 bucks extra for an additional 128 gigs of storage.

I can buy a 256 GB SD card for under 15 bucks RETAIL. I can buy a 1 TB card for under 30 dollars retail. That means Facebook is probably paying a couple bucks for the memory if I am being conservative.

If anyone was wondering, Amazon is now offering the Oculus + $50 credit + Carrying case for $299.99

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09DCMWRKP/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_apa_glt_fabc_1202SD9WXVAXH23T2P3K?_encoding=U... [amazon.com]

I already bought the Oculus + $50 so I chatted with them and they gave me $50 credit so I can purchase the carrying case!!!
