The SUA4000iED is the same 3500 running watts, same 223 cc engine but 2000 watts extra starting watts. Likely supercedes this model. with parts are backwards compatible. There's only a tiny chance imo a clearance price better than this may pop up after the holidays. If undecided then I'd buy in the early am and see how long they take to sell out with option to cancel later.
I don't recall ever seeing this electric start on sale before. Been following the price for a year. The electric start is often o.o.s. The pull start model is the one they put on sale. It was briefly $535 last April at sams.
For pull start two of the 98 cc igen2500 give 4400 watts run when paralleled and has been one of the best deals this yeat at $400 each but who can say if or when that deal will come back. The Pulsar 1800 watt was second best inverter deal at $280 but I really like the digital data panel and larger engine.
Remote electic start stop isn't possible with two 1800 -2500 runninhg watt ( on gasoline ) i-gens.
I dismissed the negative reviews after learning that most could be traced back to a loose connection at some point in production which was easily resolveable. igen4500's have also been delivered with loose connectors except those require a labor intensive disassembly to fix. No matter which i-generator is purchased if it is set up and run hard upon receipt and performs as advertised during the return period chances are that it will continue to do so for years with proper maintenance.
The $150 savings before tax brings the price to the lowest point I've seen for these specs. For the past year it has been nearly impossible to find a dual fuel igen4500DF in stock. This A-ipower has also been o.o.s at Sams. If this configuration is required then the choice today is whether or not to spend at least $350 + tax more to get the igen4500. Saving this much for these features is slick.

The concerning thing about these two generators though is they are not even listed on A-Ipower's website. I have a feeling support for these will be non-existent for when you'd ever need parts. I worry about that really nice control panel going out for instance.
To the OP, where did you find the info for this one day sale? I get emails from Sam's and never saw anything about this.

I still don't like how neither of their larger inverter generators are even so much as mentioned on the A-Ipower website.

edit: A senior exec at Westinghousr Outdoor Power told me that they are looking in to offering a 240V 4-5kw inverter which makes connecting to a house easier however the cost and weight may be prohibitive for the customer base they seek to serve. Midsize enclosed 120V inverters like the deal one and igen4500 adress a niche market mainly campers, sportsman, racers, tradesmen, event attendees who require quiet 3-4kw generators with remote elctric start and dual fuel capabiliy. I've read a few user reviews which claim that the SUA3800iED does better at elevation than other models but haven't verified. If portability matters both are too heavy for many to pick up and load in a truck by themselves.
