I am professional audio and video specialist. Weather conditions will effect your tv,regardless covered or not. Get ready for lot's of service calls. I suggest you to build case just let screen exposed. You will have better chance hopefully. Good luck.

Bought this for my office, for late-night TV viewing without waking up the kids. I ran the vegetable video, and mine has very minimal blooming. I compared it with my other two (much more expensive) TVs, and I don't see any differences in blooming worth mentioning. Certainly, nothing like the other guy's posted photos. I did tweak a few settings on the U6GR5: turned the brightness to normal, changed to color balance a bit to get rid of a bit of the green, and changed the contrast a little. The colors are good and the blacks too. I'm pretty happy with it. I have a fancy color calibrator that I use on all my TVs and monitors to make sure they look as good as possible. I haven't run it on this TV yet, but I'm not sure I even need to, since it looks good enough as-is.

I just picked one up on Monday, the 90 day return policy made me feel more comfortable doing so. After having the TV a couple days, I don't have any desire to return it. Picture quality (from my very unprofessional opinion) is beautiful and colors seem punchy but realistic after some calibration. I have some hesitation around the brand and was hoping for 120hz, but this tv checked all the other boxes at a great price and so far so good.

It's been going in and out of stock; I managed to snag one but also picked up the U6GR5 because of the well-known motion problems.
Ah! I see. I too managed to order one R8F but maybe I'll cancel it before it's shipped

Were you able to calibrate fully? I tired to but seems like the Roku OS is very limited

I don't know if this rtings review applies to this TV . . . it's hard to say if this note in the review is only referring to the 'Dimming zones' section it occurs in or if it refers to the entire review of the U6G. It looks like this U6GR5 may be even better than the U6G.

"Hisense has released a variant of this TV, known as the Hisense U6GR or Hisense U6GR5. It's a completely different TV, with more advanced gaming features, including variable refresh rate support. It also runs the Roku smart interface instead of Android TV. We don't expect our results here to be valid for the U6GR."
Yea you are right on that these are 2 different TVs hopefully we will get a review on it by rtings

I heard that Roku had some sort of fallout with YouTube TV. Can I still watch YouTube TV on a Roku smart TV?

Costco in Brick, NJ has at least 5 more in stock. Nice TV for the price, no complaints here. I would have gotten the 65" U6GR5 if the price was right, but $200 more was out of my budget.

Can you please provide the calibration settings or link them here?

The deal is still live and in stock. Why would someone mark this as expired?

My 65U6GR I ordered from Best Buy just arrived a few minutes ago. I know now that rtings says the U6GR it is not the same TV as the U6G but I was planning on trying the U6G settings they recommend. https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews...g/settings

Looks like rtings has purchased the U6GR. Now we wait for the status to update and the review to be posted: https://www.rtings.com/tv/suggestions
