I have the 6' version of this exact ladder. It is very light weight, so it's easy to move around the house. I feel it is adequate for a quick lightbulb change or to change the battery in the smoke detector. To me, it doesn't feel overly stable when you go up to the second to last top step because it is just lightweight aluminum. I also have the 6' Werner fiberglass which is heavier in weight but also much sturdier, with no flex to it. If I am painting and on the ladder for longer periods, I always go with the fiberglass one. The lightweight aluminum has its uses but, to me, it is not an all
day, everyday use workhorse.
If you want to give a gift to a new homeowner, a ladder like this is one of the best things you can give them. We got a "welcome wagon" letter with our first home and it included a free 6' ladder from a local hardware store. 30+ years later I still have that ladder and have used it countless times. It was such a great gift.
As a reminder, that 225lb weight limit includes the load you're carrying.

Idk about Dewalt but it's a foot taller than the gorilla ladder that's on sale right now for $15. So double the price for an extra foot.

I'd say it depends on your needs.

Great light weight ladder. Got one a year or so ago but for only $20 then.
Waiting on a 6 ft deal.

Own this ladder 6+ years and still going strong. Very light weight and recently painted 3 rooms with constant climbing and moving the ladder. It is very stable if you weight less than 160lbs, not sure able others though

That little Gorilla step STOOL is toy sized. I saw it in store yesterday and kept walking

I ordered this Werner 5 footer for store delivery.

Also have my eye on something like this --- which is better for inside house? I already have 8 foot stepladder and a Werner multiposition adjustable ladder in garage that I can lug inside if I need higher reach. Worth a few extra bucks for the smaller size and lighter weight of something like the 3 step stool? And no, I'm not jazzing on the $14.88 step stool toy. That top step is 26 inches for goodness sake and it is tiny.

I have 9 foot ceilings, this good enough to do simple work in the ceiling? Like installing lights

If a person is above 250lbs, will it break or wobble? I am looking for a indoor ladder for light work around the house.
