As someone who has a pixel 6 Pro, I highly recommend just getting the 6. It's so much cheaper and the Pro has no features that are worth the pricetag over the non pro. If I could do it again, I'd get the pixel 6.

The phone is big on the hands and quite heavy. Be warned. You'll end up missing smaller phone size of 5.7to 6.2 inch screens

Nova launcher is immensely customizable, and I can't recommend it enough. You can move the stock Pixel launcher elements wherever you want, among MANY other options.

Android 12 makes simple tasks an absolute chore. Simply toggling wifi requires additional button pressing, clearing apps require you to swipe them one by one, unlocking phone with 4 digit pass requires you to press enter. Also on screen fingerprint scanner is trash. Don't even think about putting a screen protector, it'll render it useless
Omg.. I thought I was the only one...wifi toggle is terrible and absolutely worse on the pin enter...MKBHD pointed this out a few year ago...it's not new on 12

I'd return it but I already traded in an older phone for the TMobile deal. I like the phone, but those were just some reasons why getting the 6 over the 6 Pro is worth it.
Im just on my own line and been with the ATT Prepaid $300 for 12 months for 3 years now so I can't really take BF deal from any carriers...if I return it now it will cost me $20 bucks for the Google one subscription...but take back $300...gotta think about it over this weekend...

I can't wrap my head around why google would use curved edges. I so hate it on my pixel 2xl (currently using). Not sure if I want another phone with that. Also now pixel 6 has less ram and missing camera. Now having hard time to decide what to get.
Uhmm what are you talking about? The 2xl doesn't have curved screen...I still have it here.

Sucks for everyone who paid full price. This is why I feel like apple is better. They hold their value cause Apple controls their price and it's much more stable.
Hmm, let's unpack this so my brain doesn't explode.

- This is a good price, bad for those who paid extra...checks out...
- This is why apple is better, because they charge more and don't allow sales, so you won't feel bad if you pay too much, because you're unlikely to ever see a decent sale and that's exactly where I go into some sort of infinite loop...
laugh out loud
Little help?

You can get this cheaper elsewhere, especially if you have a trade in. Example, with Samsung Galaxy 9 trade-in at Google the price would be $424. Also, there are a lot of stores online where you can even get better if you are willing to spend some time searching.

If you see Target "deals", make sure you can't find cheaper before you pull the trigger, as it is rare I can't find a better deal somewhere else.

Good luck on those deals.

So, the Pixel 5a for $399, or the Pixel 6 for $549? Pros and cons anyone?

5a
- lighter
- more durable body (plastic)
- camera quality is almost the same in good lighting
- significantly better battery life

6
- more premium body (but heavier and more fragile)
- wireless charging
- noticeably better low light photos
- a few 6/tensor specific features (faster AI/ML related tasks)

Pixel 6 on screen fingerprint reader is kind of finky for some. It takes half a second to unlock at times which is super annoying.
Yeah not a fan of the in-screen readers. Having it on the back on my Pixel 1/3 was so great. I've since switched to a Note 10+ and maybe the Pixel 6 one is a bit better, but I've grown to hate it. It works but it always takes just enough extra time to be annoying (and multiply that by the number of times you unlock your phone per day).

Bestbuy. They have different ratings for their open box from certified to fair. Fair in my experience just means the packaging is missing or beat up.
Good to know thanks. I'm shocked they wouldn't just list condition of the actual device.

Google had the 5a for $350 already last week, IIRC. I'm hoping they have it again for BF.
They definitely did not have it for $350

But will the phone even be in stock by the 21st? All the Targets around me do not have the Pixel 6 in stock.

Remember tablets were 7 inches? We are almost taking a tablet in our pockets... 6.2 in is my maximum, and hard to find unfortunately.
this is almost the same size of pixel4xl and i already ordered the case for p6pro and it works on p4xl but the cam module is a mismatch

a major con is how heavy and big this phone is for being "only" 6.4". fingerprint reader also appears to be slow per reviews
