As someone who has a pixel 6 Pro, I highly recommend just getting the 6. It's so much cheaper and the Pro has no features that are worth the pricetag over the non pro. If I could do it again, I'd get the pixel 6.

The phone is big on the hands and quite heavy. Be warned. You'll end up missing smaller phone size of 5.7to 6.2 inch screens

Nova launcher is immensely customizable, and I can't recommend it enough. You can move the stock Pixel launcher elements wherever you want, among MANY other options.

Pixel 6 on screen fingerprint reader is kind of finky for some. It takes half a second to unlock at times which is super annoying.
Check for an update. Apparently there was an update released yesterday or the day before which helped a lot of people with the fingerprint reader.

Aren't the photos way better on the pro? I have a s21 ultra and the pixel 6 non pro would be a huge downgrade.

The fingerprint is definitely slower than on my 3a XL, but it's predictable and reliable in my experience. It just takes a little longer than it used to.
Which do you prefer the pixel 6 or the iphone 12?

The only camera difference is the lack of a telephoto lens on the non pro.

Damm...should have waited. I jumped at the first deal with tmobile to get 300 off my trade in of my rare Note 5 for the Pixel 6.

I am sure they are reselling my Note 5 for hundreds of dollars.

Got the pro since launch. Returned it after 3 weeks. Battery is horrible. Just a heads up.
Got the regular, the battery is terrific. Leave it overnight and only goes down 1 percent.

The regular also has flats screen which I prefer.

Just used it to read a few emails and still at 100 percent. Takes a long time to drain.

I've had the original pixel, 2xl, 3xl, 5, 4a 5g, and then the 6. The 5 is too small for me but the 6 is bulky and heavy compared to the 4a 5g which was a great size. The fingerprint scanner is slow and inaccurate at times on the 6 and it's not as convenient to use because you have to wake up the screen first to unlock it. On the 4a 5g and 5 I can pick up the phone anyway and just slide my fingers into the sensor to unlock. I can't do that with the 6 and the issues with the sensor bother me. Also, there is no more free Google Photo storage on the 6. All these reasons combined made me go back to the 4a 5g.
What the heck are you talking about. I look at the screen and it becomes awake.

However, the free google storage is a good point.

Fingerprint scanner is fixed with next update.

But you keep your Pixel 5. Comparing it to Pixel six is easy choice. Yes, it is heavy phone by 2 more ounces. I plan to deal with the weight by doing 10 more push ups each day and using those hand exercise grips. Now if it was a Tuba, yes, weight matters. 2 ounces...worth the trade up in camera and battery and speed.

I had the same problem. There is an update they pushed today. Get it and you will be good. My fingerprint recognition is 10x better now.
In order to make it faster, you can disable the animation that gets triggered when the fingerprint is recognized.

I think the only difference is the camera. I don't take $300 worth of pictures... lol

I returned 6 because it is too big and heavy. Currently using 5a
Pixel 6 was too big for me. Pixel 5a is more manageable in your experience? On paper they don't seem drastically different

Some users on Reddit claimed random people were able to unlock their pixels with their fingerprints. That's a huge red flag.
