More clearly:

"To qualify for the offer, International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number and phone number cannot have been associated with a Mint Mobile plan within 90 days of activation."

What I mean is I can't use the same phone for the trial as the promotion because they count the trial towards this: To qualify for the offer, International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number and phone number cannot have been associated with a Mint Mobile plan within 90 days of activation.
Use a burner phone ?

Have you enabled wifi calling? https://www.mintmobile.com/featur...ling-text/ [mintmobile.com]
(I am brand-new to mobile phones so...)
Does the voice quality suffer if one uses WiFi Calling & Text ? Some years ago, a friend was using VOIP and when he called my landline it was always horrendous quality...
What is the drawback, if any, of using WiFi Calling & Text?

(Also, interestingly, when I go to WiFi Calling & Text [mintmobile.com] and enter the IMEI number of my Moto G Power (2021) phone it says "Your Phone is Not-Compatible" but from as far as I can see in the phone's settings it is available and even enabled... (under WiFi Calling it says "Ready for calls"))

very often disconnects while talking and sometimes making a call and receiving a call is very very slow . sometimes the calls connected after 30 seconds. i don't use the internet much on my phone but it always sucks whenever i tried to use for emergency. i paid for pre-paid for the hole year and was working good for 3months after that it sucks. even after multiple complaints no use. they didn't refund me either cause it is prepaid. i have to suck it for another 7 months cause i can't afford losing money which i already paid.
You shouldn't have committed to a whole year if you didn't know that. I recently switched out to T-Mobile's prepaid from Mint so I can come back in a bit over a month. I find no difference in the quality of service so I'd recommend anyone without experience with mint or T-Mobile that they can use T-Mobile Connect, the prepaid plan (for me, $15 for 2.5GB LTE per month). Downside is the SIM card cost $10 since I couldn't find my old T-Mo SIM.

My experience with t mobile's wifi calling has been great. Crisp and clear. Comparable to VoLTE.

Ryan got you by the balls. I have the service for my kids with 10gb 12 month plan. Although it says $240, they add on fees and taxes and it becomes $265 a year. Not too bad for a decent T-Mobile service, right? Well, here's the issue, the moment you go over 10gb, not only it goes to speed slower than 2G, but it takes like 2 minutes to open a single page. So it becomes unusable past your allotment. If you can stay within the data cap, you're ok. But you know how kids use Snapchat, Tweeter, TikTok and Discord if not 10 more apps. They go through data in less than 3 weeks and that's with screen time of 2 hours per day.

I just bought a new phone and I plan to throw away my old phone and keep using my old prepaid plan/SIM card on the new phone. The new phone only has one physical SIM slot but it supports two eSIMs, so I assume I'll have to get an eSIM from Mint in order to get this Mint plan for my new phone.

My question is: If I need an eSIM for Mint, does it mean I HAVE TO buy from Mint website? Does Target/Bestbuy promotions offer eSIM as well, or do they only sell physical SIM cards?

Thanks!

$210-$220 every year via eBay during Black Friday-Xmas/. Also skip the sales tax if you renew and send it to your DE beach house.

I had referalls. 100 a pop. I was left with a partial year balance so I tossed another hundred at it. Eitherway I'm 2 years prepaid, been w them 14 months. No regrets.

Drop a call once a month, I just call back. I'm around WiFi most the time so whatever about data. I'm on the 10gb plan

Just switched gf from t mobile and her brother from t mobile, got 100 each

In Ohio mint works great for us.

If your phone is unlocked then yes. And you can port your number as well.

If I purchase this on 1/5/2022, do I have to activate it by/before 1/7/22 or can I activate it 45 days later?

Also, can I have an unlocked phone from metro PCS?

According to the chat rep, anybody that activates after 1/7/2022 will not receive the 3 extra months, regardless of if you bought online or in-store.

Except i believe if you buy it from Mint. I spoke to chat twice - weeks apart - and both times they confirmed I have 45 days from purchase to activate AND still get the 3 + 3.
